After a public outcry earlier in the year when Spartan announced their intention to launch another new game, they ran a survey to find out what people wanted. The result has been this kickstarter for a new expansion to Dystopian Wars, which is probably their "main" game system.

There's a new starter set, an updated v2.5 of the rulebook and a new fleet box set for each of the 7 core nations. They also have a couple of very large kickstarter only models to go with the starter. 5 Days to go, with an estimated shipping in March next year, so not too long of a wait (normal kickstarter delays may apply of course).

As a DW player I'm in on this, but not heavily yet. I'm glad Spartan are listening to their player base, Hopefully they will spend more time supporting some of their other games going forward as well.

I definitely jumped into this one at the Fleet Admiral level. I've been very pleased by everything that Spartan has put out in connection with this campaign; the new models look great, as expected, but I'm also super excited about the new campaign books and the national TAC decks.

All that said, I'm taking the March fulfillment timeframe with a boulder of salt .

Spartan has been my favorite game company ever since FSA came out back in '09, so there was no way I was going to miss this KS .

March as a delivery target is nonsense unless they mean march 2020.
