Just curious.....

RIP Servo Skulls.

I'm a little sad about that....the new book doesn't have the options available that the old one had. I guess Inquisitorial warbands will be more "realistic"...no more Ordo Xeno's inquistors with conversion beamers surrounded by 3++ crusaders and 3 space monkeys.....

I think this will make Inquisition style armies very cookiee cutter.

On the flip side, being able to add in a Kill Team etc for free( not taking up a detachment slot) is attractive.

You can still take a xeno inq with conversion beamer, weaponsmiths and crusaders, you just need to take 3 acolytes as a tax, its in the formation in the back

Can still do that, like Bowie said. You can also put Storm Shields on the tax Acolytes for added resilience.

Kill Team plus a Corvus, it looks like.

I've still got the 100+ models I gathered for Care-Bear-stare psykers, which are now totally useless. :(

The new book kinda took everything the inquisition had going for it and ruined it from what I saw. They took away their CC, too away their flyers, made the monkies useless as they're only buffing themselves and not other units, got rid of servo skulls, and dirt cheap spammable psykers. Literally it nerfed the whole army.

I love my new copy of the Imperial agents books. I can field any unit I used to field, I got a new cool army building puzzle and got a beautiful book

The rumors made me think that the book would ruin my army but this is total nonsense. The only thing that I can no longer field only using the new books are criminally under costed psyker squads and some quite obscure henchmen combinations that I almost never fielded any waw ( and I am talking really obscure here).

What we got in return is some insane good MSU options, better options for my inquisitors and all sorts of minor buffs all over the army.

Now does this replace the book. Na it doesn't.
-The old books are still for sale,
-All FAQ's published by GW allows you to use older source materials if they have overlapping stuff..

No not at all they just cost 25 pts instead of 10 pts now ; )

Also I don't believe you at all. Sure you could field them all for 2062 points but there is no way that you had 34 Inquisitors , 202 Acylotes,101 Psykers. all build and painted. You might have had a pile of grey plastic that you where going to convert to 100+ mini's that you "one day we all have those piles". There is just no way that you actually have this army and did not put it out here.

The new rules make it even simpler to field this army, since those inquisitors and henchmen are now unneeded surpluss. If you want to field 100 Psykers you can just field them as single Indep characters now each in their own detachment, making it one of the silliest 2500 pts armies out there.

The book...indeed the entire release is a complete mess.

20 year old metal sisters released as "new"
Beloved characters removed from army lists
Already sub par units mangled and nerfed.

For all their good work this last year, GW really took a big step back to the bad old days with this release.

Did you have the mobi version by any chance? ...this happened to me with other books that would supposed get automatically updated but didn't - because I had mobi. They are no longer supporting mobi for rules/codex/supplements because they insist that customers want gimmicky features like '360 degree turning photos'. I have already emailed them with a counter opinion, if you are in the same boat email the black library also. I miss having mobi codex.

I'm not seeing where you can take more than 1 crusader with an Inquisitor.....

You might want to open your book and look at the crusader unit entry ( in the Sisters of Battle list)
