I'd like to add some psykers to my skitarii. What are your thoughts on the most effective and fluffy way in your opinions?

I'm thinking inquisitors or primaries psykers from imperial agents. Having them join my backfield ranger squads.

Best way will either be the Pyskana Division from Imperial agents (this one is a detachment with 1 required hq and 3 optional elites). Or the typically more expensive but more effective option the other Pyskana Division from the mont'ka book except this one is a formation with a primaris pysker 3 wyrdvane pysker units and 1-3 commisars. If your looking for more in depth ideas on them look at frontlinegaming as I believe they have a couple of pages on them

Edit: Here is the frontlinegaming link: https://www.frontlinegaming.org/2016/01/29/cadian-battle-group-tactics-part-8-psykana-division/

Thank you for the advice and link.

Inquisitors (also in the Imperial Agents codex) might be worth looking into as well. Ld 10 as well as decent combat ability, and a bunch of funky tools at their disposal alongside their psychic abilities.

(Upgraded) they typically cost around the same as a unit of Wyrdvane psykers, but are actually capable of fighting.

You say Fiery Crash! I say Dynamic Entry!

*Increases Game Point Limit by 100*: Tau get two Crisis Suits and a Firewarrior. Imperial Guard get two infantry companies, artillery support, and APCs.

My "Skitarii Commander" is a counts as inquisitor. Fluff wise he's men't to be a psykicly active "defiantly-not-a-clone-because-that-would-be-tech-heresy". In my head the reason he's only ML1 is because he has a ton of dudads in his head that limit his psykic potential until he really needs it (I imagine he has to get permission from higher ups to use his full abilities).

Its pretty easy to get psy in both fluff wise and through allies.

On a side note he is the only "black cloak" in my army (the rest being red and white) to help differentiate him. He also has 5 "retainers" (crusader counts as) who's job it is to execute him if he starts to loose his grasp on his power. I like to call them the cringy name "Blackwatch".

Praise be to Dark Sphere savior of cheapskates!

Space Marine librarians are still a good deal. Go Iron Hands and have fun with it. They'll have more durability than other allied Psykers and can roll on several great tables.

If you model space marines like roided out electro-priests while using the electromancer doctrine (possibly using AOS khorne models as a basis) then you could conceivably sneak a libraries conclave under the guise of counts as (if your club is cool with it that is)

413th Lucius Exterminaton Legion- 4,000pts

Atalurnos Fleetbreaker's Akhelian Corps- 2500pts
