Ok, so this is the first list I have made so let me know what it looks like it comes out to 1480

Leader:
Lord of Chaos on Demonic Mount 100

Battle line

Clan Rats x 20 - 120

Chaos warriors x 20 Tzeench marked - 360

Troops

Chaos Knights Enscrolled weapons tzeench marked x10 - 400

Chaos warshrine - 200

Hellcannon - 300

Would put the hellcannon in the back, bubble wrap it with the clan rats.
Then with the slaves of darkness all having tzeench mark, the warshrine lets them reroll all saves, which would really let me use their shield's 5+ wardsave to its fullest. Combine that with the hellcannon being one of the most powerful long range units in the game, it gonna make large blobs quiver since if the hellcannon does not move and they have 20+ models in the unit it hits on a 2+ and deals D6 mortal wounds.

The other option is to drop the hellcannon take 3 warlock jezzails and bubble wrap them, use the remaining points to put more warriors in the blob of 20. The warplock gunners if they dont move hit on a 4+ reroll 1s, and a roll of 6+ is an instant 2 mortal wounds. also has rend -2 so its gonna punch through most units even on a normal wound.

To many unpainted models to count.

Question about the Hellcannon, I do see it listed n the back of General's Handbook under Slaves of Darkness but no warscroll for it in my Grand Alliance Chaos tome in the Slaves section. Are they in a different area or in a different tome? Model for it is considered the one with the 3 chaos dwarfs, correct? Thanks in advance.

Note that the Hellcannon isn't listed with the Chaos Pitched Battle Profiles on pages 129-134 of the General's Handbook. It's listed with the Compendium Pitched Battle Profiles on page 151. Anything in the Compendium section was not carried forward to the Grand Alliance books and is only found in the appropriate Warscroll Compendium.

So does that mean i can still use it in pitched battles?

Ah I do see it's warscroll in the SoD Compendium...

https://www.games-workshop.com/resources/PDF/AoS_Compendiums/warhammer-aos-warriors-of-chaos-en.pdf

So it seams you can use it as it is listed in the Compendium and also has a points value in the GHB, correct? If your games are just amongst friends and they are cool with it you should be GTG anyways.

Are there any newer models for the Hellcannon? Granted could always use a stand in for one as well.

From what i have found online its 300 points, and no there are no new models, i would need to either get a stand in or one off ebay, since GW stopped casting them, and its arguably one of the best artillery pieces in the game.

If you dont move, and you aim at a blob of 20+ you hit on a 2+ and do d6 mortal wounds and have a chance of doing 2d6 mortal wounds.

Just read the warscroll for it. Definitely can lay down some damage at distance. Seams slightly unwieldy with that "Caged Fury" ability, but should be manageable as long as you don't try to move to too fast and outrun it's crew.

Well as long as there are 3 guys crewing it, it only fails on a 1, and then i would be bubble wrapping it with 20 maruaders with tzeench marks.

Another army suggestion i was playing with.

Flying Demon Prince: 160
-Axe -2 rending D3 wounds
-Khorne marked for 3+ to hit, 3+ to wound.

Battle Line:
Marauders x20: 120
-Axes and shields
-Tzeentch Marked

Chaos Warriors x20: 180
-Sword and board
-Tzeentch Marked

Chaos Warriors x20: 180
-Halbard and Board
-Khorne Marked

Warshrine: 200
-no mark

War machine:

Hellcannon: 300

Total: 1500

Add on's to get to 2000k

Chaos Knights x10: 400
-Enscrolled Weapons
-Nurgal Marked

Lord Of Chaos: 100
-Khorne marked

2000 total

(Meme Unit to go from 1500 to 2k)
Skarbrand: 400

Dont think i actually would but its just funny

So the question I have now, with the warshrine, can he only pray to/cast the buff for his patron god? Or can he call upon any god? For example, If i mark him Tzeench, but i want to target my Khorne Marked Chaos Warriors, can i call upon the Khorne favor for them?

My gakky connection only showed the first two comments.

Now, skarbrand is a good unit. A bit hit or miss but with the right prep-work I've seen him delete anything As in guy would delete a 40-man horde of gobbos or just slaughter my mawkrusha. He's worth his points, if not more.

well here is what i dont understand.

RAW for him say that if he does not enter into combat for an entire turn, he is ALWAYS incandescent. Going off that, all i would need to do is not enter him into combat and he would be incandescent for the rest of the game, since it says he will always be incandescent.

That said, im pretty sure RAI was that it only lasted until he enters combat, but still its ambiguous enough it could mean the entire game since it says always.

Also this is a new list im working with

Leaders
Daemon Prince (160)
- Axe

Units
Chaos Warriors x 20 (360)
- Hand Weapon & Shield
- Battleline
Chaos Warriors x 20 (360)
- Hand Weapon & Shield
- Battleline
Chaos Warshrine x 1 (200)
Bloodreavers x 20 (120)
- Reaver Blades
- Battleline

War Machines
Hellcannon (300)

Total: 1500/2000

Then to get to 2000 i would add

20x fireglaives (Chaos dwarf gunners)
bloodsecator
5x Wrathmongers

So with the wrath mongers if i keep them near the bloodreavers and the bloodsecator near them as well, that single unit of 20 blood secators could pump out over 120 4/4 -1 rend attacks, and if i bless them they can reroll their hits.

that bonus is coming from blood reavers getting +1 attack each for being next to a totem, +1 form the wrath mongers, and then x2 from the bloodsecator.
