So I've built two lists in prep of starting a new army and I'm looking to compare and contrast them so that I know what to order. I'm going for casually competitive/take-all-comers, competitive tournament stuff can come later.

List 1:



List 2:

Mix the 2, Take Reavers and not an Archon. Archons are only for WWP drops. They are just a points sink. Dont forget to get a Sybrite for Warlord traits.

Reavers and Scourges are good, 5man venoms + blast is fine and 1 gunbaot of warriors is fine fine too.

Beastmasters are not as good as bikes, just take bikes instead.

I personally like Dis Cannons on raiders too, 1 DL want do anything, but 3 Dis shots will.

Nice, thanks. If I take the Lhamean list, and drop the Lhamean's Venom in place of minsquad Reavers with 1x Blaster and 1x Cluster Caltrops, and toss Night Shields and Enhanced Aethersails on the Raider, I'm at 748.

It would be better to not has AS on the raider I would do this (Keeping what weapons you like on)

Kabalite Warrior x8: Sybarite, Splinter Cannon
Raider: Disintegrator cannon, Night Shields, Splinter Racks


Reavers x3: Cluster caltrops, Blaster
Reavers x3: Cluster caltrops, Blaster

Scourges x5: x4 Heat Lance

This gives you 44 more points to play with.

A couple ideas
1) drop the blasters off the bikes and take 3 units of them
2) drop the 2nd bike unit for a venom on HQ
3) Drop 2nd bike unit and the blast on 1st bike for a 2nd Scourge unit with HWB (This is mostly dependent on how many Vehicles you fight against) they can stay longer ranger as well so you can be safer, but I would take this unless they had 5+ vehicles or AV 13 Necron spam

Do note that this only has one troop. In order to take 4 blasters in a squad you have to make them trueborn, which makes them elites

Yes its x4 with 1 w/ blaster = 5

EDIT: Same for the 10man Warirors, 1 is SC other is Sybarite

Sorry for the miss typing english is harder for me and I copy/pasted some things to make it faster.

I really used to like the blaster in each venom but honestly with 18" range and moving over 6" snap fire I rarely get them into a place that the single shot (which misses ALOT lol) is worth it.

I personally would take the lhameon as suggested and drop the blasters on the regular guys totally.

I also like the haywire better on the scourges as 3 hits normally and often finish off a vehicle. I think they are solid in smaller games.

I fully agree, I used to take Blasters on Warriors but its just a waste. but I didnt suggest it b.c I wanted it to be his list.

1) Its a single shot
2) Its not good for AT b.c its 1 shot at 18"
3) If use for AT the other 4 warriors do nothing
4) It can kill 1 dude and thats about it all game unless you are lucky

For the pts its not worth it.

I like to take the Venoms and the warriors as Completely AI, I take Trueborns in Raids for AP 2 spam and I take Bikes/Scourges as AT. sense he is playing low points he cant really take Grots or Talos/Cronos.

I don't see any way to make Blasterborn work at 750 without completely demolishing any hopes of MSU build. Is 1 set of sourges with Haywire enough to handle vehicles at 750?

1 Unit isnt, but IDK his meta. If its just 3-4 rhino's the 1 and some bikes can do it, but he needs to hide them well.

Forget the Meta in this case, this is a 750 point starter list meant to be able to handle most anything.

How do I get more anti armor then? 2 units of Scourge is just too many points in too fragile of a unit.

I went to Corsairs sense DE is trash, thats why I was saying it, Harlequins and Corsairs IS DE but better.... so sad.
