In an 1850 War Con list, what 2 knights go best together?

I think the Warden and the Errant work very well together. I use the Errant like a Gallant that can shoot.

That works too, but I like the ability to melt AP 2 units with one of my knights. Errant is brilliant vs Broadsides and the like. Plus, I always give my wardens the stormspear launcher, but the errant has no carapace weapon in my case. So it's a lot cheaper and more expendable.

I fire off the melta cannon on the way over and charge it in and whatever happens happens. Also, the Warden is good at popping transports and the Errant is good at shooting the unit that comes out. Even though I'm sure GW meant the reverse to be true.

They each have a special niche for the most part. I forget exactly what each one does, though.

Why no a Crusader?
He has both weapons rolled into one amazing package.

Well, my pick is the Errant with a melta gun.

The lancer is a good choice if you are facing other knights and wraithknights. With 18" 7/2 heavy 6 and increased survivability plus a charge bonus.
Atrapos is my favorite, more hp, reduced strength on incoming shooting. Twin linked 8" D weapon and 8/2 large blast with special rules.
It all comes down to what you need.

Because sometimes you need to D punch something. The Knight ranged weapons are actually pretty poor vs really tough targets.

If you just want a pair of TAC Knights I always recommend grabbing a Warden and a Paladin. The Warden gives you a D-sword, a flamer, a stubber and the gatling cannon. The Paladin gives you the same great D-sword, two stubbers and an ordnance cannon to help with other AV.
Put Stormspear Rocket Pods on both of them (or Icarus' if you face a lot of fliers) and they're useful against just about everything.
As far as Foregworld goes, Bla-Ze has great recommendations. The Lancer is the only Knight who can expect to beat a sword + board Wraithknight in melee consistently and the Atrapos is a D-wielding, Vortex spawning beast.

I prefer the Errant to the Paladin. The melta encourages you to get close, where it needs to be.
