So...I wanna start off by saying this is NOT my base design. Somebody else did this style conversion already, I just made a couple changes. Two Daemon prince torsos and I extended the length of the lower legs. It's a bit hunched, but is almost as tall as a new Bloodthirster. Not including the wings, of course. He is standing next to Skarbrand for scale. Minimal green stuff needed. Next pic will be when painted.

Focus on him without a second model.

I actually decided the claws were too small. Switched a big one on the right side and sculpting a hand to hold a whip in the lower left. Using a leftover bloodthirster's chain whip, but that's usually a right handed piece. So gotta resculpt the hand. This KoS only has ONE claw hand now!!!

Successful sculpting to change the whip hand from right to left!!

Great job and choice of parts
I'm surprised GW hasn't retired KOS model. Its probably the most criticised model they have in the 'classic' range

Good job with the conversion... how long till they release a new keeper of secrets?

Sadly I have no idea. I always loved the old one...but it doesn't hold up to the new BT or the not-GUO (Glottkin). This one does measure in height to Skarbrand, but needed something extra since it had no real "space" to occupy. So...whip!!

I will buy a new one too, once it comes out. But this was a very simple conversion to do.

Is the forgeworld keeper of secrets too big to run as a normal keeper of secrets? How big is it compared the the bloodthirster?

I think it's an appropriate size, I just don't care for the face much. Yes, I know I used the squid KoS head; the irony isn't lost on me. Lol. Mine WOULD be taller, except it's hunched over. Looking like it's about to go Sauron on the collective asses of the horde of things in front of it (opening scene in LotR).

I am working on a Keeper myself for quite some time (actually waaay too long...). It's based on a Ghorgon from the WHFB Beastmen Range and with its 6 inches it IS a real beast. Maybe or hopefully it can be an inspiration.

I really really love this conversion... what other parts did you use apart from the Ghorgon? Is it mainly greenstuff sculpting?
