Even those are getting rarer. Heck, when I signed up for internet with mediacom, they were so desperate to sell landlines that they gave me a discount on my internet just to have a landline set up in my house, even if it is literally never used.

It is in the UK, yeah. My phone appears to still use GSM/2G for voice, and better systems for data.
We lost analogue a while ago, though.

I remember those. We had a green one. Took forever to dial but dialing was half the fun.

fun times. Plus you could pick it up and and pace, circling and whipping the cord.

House doesn't seem complete without a land line.

Maybe I'm old.

If I went back to rotary though I'd have to find an in-line caller ID for it, that's too useful not to have.

I can't even get a landline where I am.. you can use a regular phone, and the old landline wires in your house, but they all connect into a cable box now and it's basically just an internet phone, rather than going to the phone company.

In a way I kinda wish it wasn't like that, even if it's old tech, I remember the good ole days where your power could go out, but your phone would still work. But then I guess that doesn't matter so much if you have a cellphone handy.
