Rogue Factor, the developers of Mordheim, are recruiting staff for their next game which will be turn based and set in the 40K universe.

We're looking for a game designer that will help us deliver a narrative campaign set in a rich Warhammer 40K universe. You will collaborate with the team to plan and implement the campaign in Unreal Engine 4. You will participate in the development of game mechanics, map building and events scripting for a Turn-Based strategy game."

A Necromunda game is much talked about within the Mordheim community and Rogue Factor have said in the past that they would be interested in making such a game after they had shipped Mordheim. As Mordheim has now ceased active development and the above job description has confirmed that their next project that is in development will be using a 40K license perhaps......?

Its been confirmed.

Oh goodness I would love for anyone but them to be working on a Necromunda game..

They have been hinting at Necromunda game for a while and a move away from Unity sounds good as Mordheim suffers due to it.

Hopefully they still do some more DLC for Mordheim as there are quite a few good bands missing.

Doesn't Mordheim still suffer from terrible AI? Another whack at the concept is fair, but I wouldn't hold out on this being a major improvement considering the low bar developers working with GW licensed content set themselves (if nothing else they can make sales from the GW fanbase, rather than the general market).

Necromunda has now been confirmed link
No real info as of yet though.

The Mordheim AI isn't terrible although it isn't great at navigating the environments which really undermines the AI's effectiveness. Its far too common to see AI units stuck in scenery (they do free themselves the following turn but still).

Neat I dare say, this could be good. And yea the Mordheim AI is somewhat sub par when it comes to urban settings. But all in all its a solid AI whom can beat anyone into all shades of hurt ingame

I have spent many, many, many, hours with Mordheim.

Perfect? No. Great? Yes.

The small dev team that made it, did a great job IMO. Its about the only game that makes me nervous every time I play a mission.

That same dev team is making Necromunda, but using the Unreal Engine. According to them it opens up a lot more possibilities.

I for one an excited about this.

well.... that game is gonna suck, lets check there track record

BFG: horrible mess at release, awful communication with customer, lies, terrible balance, still very buggy.

Deathwing: well..... yeah..... so so bad still.

Mordheim: total mess on release, still fairly buggy, but otherwise a good game.

Blood Bowl 1 and 2, excellent games, if a bit punishing.

So we have 2 horribad games, 1 ok game and 2 pretty good games, I'm hoping that Necromunda is more akin to blood bowl in its creation (the devs clearly gave a crap about it) that BFG or Deathwing.

This is the only applicable track record as its by the same developer. I expect that Necromunda will follow a similar formula but be a higher quality game overall due to the Dev's Mordheim experience.

The other games were all published by Focus, and this probably will be as well.

they were published in a bad manner, not looked into by the money grabbing publisher and are a mess, so id argue that they are part of the track record, the publisher should make sure a game actually works before publishing it.

Mordheim with guns? Or that game will be totally different? I'll wait until release and then look at those who purchased it. And if it's about 60 gigabyte space and always requires internet to play I'll not buy that
