Just wondering what people thought of my list.
Multi melta castellax is a little out of place, but I'm using it till I can replace it for a base bot, was given him for free a while ago, pretty much all the rest should be arriving some time soon.

Which I believe comes to 2495 points, mainly looking to find any major holes in the list, as this isn't meant to be super competitive or anything
The destructor thallax jump around with the magos. While scoria slogs it with the stock/MM castellax.
The tech priest auxillia were a points fill unit that I have some models for, and seemed quite a good deep strike deterrent around the thanatar or a decent distraction that can put out some serious hurt.

Scoria is 315 with the Abeyant. Ordinator seems an odd choice. Why not Malagra?

MM on Castellax is a waste. Maulers with ETA for anti-MEQ or DF with ETA for anti-tank.

I would go MM on the Destructors. Even with Lance and Tank Hunter, you are banking on 6's to pop AV14. Not sure that is worth it, especially with Gets Hot.

Can't upgrade a Ferrox unit's guns.

Thanatar doesn't need PoM, imo. Not worth it really.

You only have two small, not-too-durable scoring units. I always recommend Thralls in Triaros as a rolling, scoring-unit-toting bunker. The Mauler and Volkites are solid firepower and the ram is gravy. And clocking in at 245pt or so, that is a solid thing to include.

Vulturax is a beast. I think 2-4 of those will become a norm in LC lists. They are just so nasty.

Not sure you can fit the suggested units without cutting the Knight... but it may be worth it. Something to consider.

Ahh my mistake, I went for ordinator as it give Armourbane and wrecker which seemed like a better use.

I did say at the start that I was going to swap him out for a base bot in future

Destructor is more for the occasions they're throwing nades/giving the magos tank hunter

Missed that rule under ferrox Not sure what else to give them

PoM was given to him because I had some points left over at the end.

Using thallax in this list as they're the models I currently own/have on order, Thralls and Triaros will hopefully come in future, along with some arlatax and ursurax

Yeah the Vutarax seems awesome and will likely be adding more

I am not sold on the Ursarax or Arlatax as much. The points are so incredibly tight for LC lists, you got to really focus on those optimal units. Castellax w/ Dominus, Vulturax, that single Thanatar, and maybe some Vorax... MAYBE.

Fitting in everything in 2500 is tough. Hell, at 3k its hard.

And yes, get a Dominus babysitter. He can park it with the Darkfire Castellax and be near the Thanatar. Don't give him much kit. Cheap is good for a babysitter.

Also, don't forget Frags on the Castellax. LC get the +1 Initiative perk, so you are going to not want to swing last if you charge into terrain. Better to go at the same time as most Marines, imo.

Ordinator to me seems a waste just for Armorbane (Wrecker almost never matters) on his attacks. If you get Thralls, maybe Lacrimallus or whatever it is, so you can get back dead Thrall squads if that happens.

Also, give him Rad grenades and a Chainfist. Then he (and the unit he is with) hit harder and he can also bust a tank up. Just a thought.
