Yeah, it has been a while. Didn't book VI come out back in June?
I'm really excited by this book, and I hope it doesn't take them another six months before we see Book VIII, rumored to be Blood Angels and Dark Angels!...

Book 6 came out way before that I'm pretty sure. Book 7 should have been out last year but kept getting delayed.
yup, bolterstodes confirmed, and here's to hoping for the cataphractii custodes, jetbike custodes, and that FW gets over the fear of putting out hover versions of rhinos and land raiders please
beyond that.....
WOOP WOOP THOUSAND SONS! A LITTLE OVER 3 YEARS OF DELAYS IS FINALLY DONE!
I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.
Question for you guys, I am collecting mechanicus and i am wondering if i'll have to keep buying new updated books when they come out or will I only have to worry about staying updated with the mecanicus book?

Each new HH black book coming out may have a few new units of mechanicum here and there but I think you are mostly good if you already own the red Tagmahta book.

Pshhh! It's ONLY been 3 years extra ;P
Beyond that, that's one thing I have been worrying about, is how the TS function. Are they gonna represent the cults (and represent them right?), are we gonna get a UM/WB treatement where we have more special units since we are one of two legions in the book? How will we play with psychic spells? (purchase +1 MLs per character? Praetors and librarians can go up to 3?), etc. etc.

Sons of Magnus!
They won't suck, but they might end up among top tier. Will see how they handle psychic phase, since basically 30k army has almost 0 physich defense a 40k can have. You might take 1 librarian, and that won't help you if TS end up having bunch of psykers and warp charges and magic...

I think you're right, the only real defence is going to be Sisters of Silence allied units.

The Ordo Reductor - the guy's who make wonderful things like the Landraider Achillies, but can't use them in battle..

Not all RoW's allow you to take any allies, and the SoS are Loyalist Only. So Thousand Sons could be a really OP army if they are heavy in the Psychic Phase. My fear in Book VII is the Custodes...
Forge World has done an incredible job of keeping the power levels down and relatively even between all the Legions while giving them enough special rules to make them unique snowflakes. I have Faith, Hope, and Trust in Forge World to not screw this up.

Now a question came to my mind. Will it be possible to field a full Custodes list with this new book?
Yes you will.
Thanks, awesome

VictorVonTzeentch, do you have BVook VII already? Because we don't have the actual point costs or rules for any of the real Custodes stuff yet. The rules that came in WD are place holder rules, the Grav Tank has Experimental Rules stamped all over it, and we have no idea what the other Fast Attack tank, the transport tank, or Contemptor Dreadnought has for rules yet. We speculate that there is another infantry squad that uses bolters based on the cover of Book VII. My advice: Wait like two more weeks and get the real rules for the Custodes before you jump all over them.

Book 7 doesn't even pre-release until the HH Weekender special event on February 4-5th. After that I'm hoping it'll be available for pre-order a week after that (it should be, according to Battle Bunnies).

Well the experimental points costs rarely change by much in the past. And we've been told by FW that the Custodes are getting a full list, so maybe stop being so hostile about everything and pay attention to what we do know.
in reguards to Custards, I know at the last Weekender they mentioned that Custodes will largely be getting buffs in book 7 from what they have now. Mostly in their wargear. I'm not all to worried as their point costs are rather high, and even with T: 5, legion lists have enough AP: 2 and weight of fire to do some damage.
