So back to fething Terminators, you get 5 Tartaros in the Prospero Burns starter set. What to do with those?

Just make Chaos Space Marines terminators from them for 40k and buy Cataphractii for 30k games?

Or maybe use them for my Sekhmet Terminator Squad!

Yeah, psychic terminators!

I'm just gonna use both the Cats and Tarts in 30k. But there's no reason you couldnt chaos them up.

Go Sekhmet. And then feel bad for being TFG.... even without being TFG, people are going to see red when they see shiny red, if you get my drift. Apparently 1K Sons (and by that I mean Magnus) is kinda verging on broken.

Primarchs running around with 2 wound terminators has been a thing since Horus and Justaerin Terminators.

Or is it more a "Thousand Sons are too powerful" general thing?

Do you need more 40k terminators? I know I don’t. So I just built them with what I thought would be a fun 30k loadout, and added them to that side of the shelf. I know I built my CTDA guys from BaC to be 40k compliment (before they got their own rules) and regretted it.

I don't have any Chaos Terminators.

However, turning these into Sekhmet has an appeal. I want them to look cool, so I need some more Thousand Sons bling. I'll look around.

I think its a they have 2 Wounds, Brotherhood of Psykers level 2, stubborn and by how their rules are written get to chose their powers from Pyromancy or Telekinesis rather than rolling.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
And the RoW with Sekhmet as Troops and Magnus as an HQ rather than counting towards LoW, where they all get Deepstrike, Fear, re-rollable 1s on their invulns until the next turn (after deepstriking) and roll an additional d6 to generate a Warp Charge while keeping the highest (for any Psychic Phase).

They are expensive, everything in the Thousand Sons catalogue is. They are extremely flexible and bring a lot of new stuff to the table, but it's way too early to declare them gods.

Magnus, on the other hand, is basically "don't use Invisibily and Novas, or you'll get butt cancer" level of ridiculous. Gentlemen's agreements and TO rulings will reign that nonsense in.

Regarding what armor to put them in, both variants are viable. For Tartaros, I would take Pyrae Cult and Pyromancy. Select Fiery Form and Sunburst. Now you have an infantry-shredding Terminator unit that has Hammer of Wrath, Soul Blaze, can sweep, still has a 4++ invulnerable from Fiery Form, harnesses Pyromancy powers on 3+, and gets to re-roll wounds from Sunburst due to Fiery Form. If facing more armor than infantry, go for Molten Beam instead.

For Cataphracts, cheese it to the max with Raptora for a 3++ invulnerable save and harnessing TK on 3+. Take Levitation to get around their sluggishness, then Objuration Mechanicum to troll Veterans and support squads.

I ran into the new Rite of War with two Sekhmet squads in Cataphract, Primus Medicae for a feel no pain and Praetor who rolled invisibility. Leman Russ charged them and did. Not. Kill one. For three turns. Not. One. They are the craziest tanky units I've seen in a long time.

You could buy some scarab occult parts and mix them in. I was considering making a unit using the BoP ones and the 40k swords.

I don't disagree with the general point but Justaerin were actually W1 at first. They were updated significantly later (In ICL, I think?) to 2.
