I had a similar thread posted a few weeks ago, and the helpful replies I got was beyond helpful! However, I had to quickly rethink my strategy due to budget constraints, so in the end I decided to save some cash and buy the Necron "Start Collecting!" Box, which I managed to get for £37.

So, I've thought of a new list, factoring in what I have. Tell me what you guys think, and if I need to add/take away some options. Everything in BOLD I already have.

CAD Force -

HQ:
Overlord Assholetep,
War scythe, Phylactery - 115pts

Elites:
Triarch Stalker - 125pts

Troops:
10 x Necron Warriors - 130pts

Fast Attack:
3 x Canoptek Wraiths,
Whip Coils - 129pts

Heavy Support:
Annihilation Barge
Gauss Cannon - 120pts

Annihilation Barge
Gauss Cannon - 120pts

Total - 999pts

Annihilation Barges can be fun, but got nerfed hard this edition. I'd reccomend replacing them with Ghost Arks, and Tomb Blades to lead into a Decurion. The new GA+Warriors set would be great for fleshing out those troop choices relatively inexpensively.

Yeah that new GA+warriors+scarabs box is a really good deal. I'm building an approx 1000 point Necron army to start off too and I just couldn't pass that up

I'd second picking up tomb blades (although you also need immortals for the decurion) and ghost arks! If you get the GA+warriors+scarabs then all you need is a tomb spider and you can make a canoptek harvest formation which is an amazing formation and will let you build the list into higher points!

Phylactery on a foot overlord really does nothing. Either he is never hurt or is dead in one turn.

Phylactery on a Catacomb Command Barge Overlord let's you take a few hits spread out between the Rider and Vehicle and then you can heal up while staying back.

Right, I've taken some pointers,and I've jiggled the list a little,so it now looks like this:

HQ:
Lord,
Voidreaper - 80pts (attached to warrior squad without a ghost ark)

Elites:
Triach Stalker
Heat Ray - 125pts

Troops:
10 x Necron Warriors - 130pts

10 x Necron Warriors,
Ghost Ark - 235pts

10 x Necron Warriors,
Ghost Ark - 235pts

Fast Attack:
3 x Canoptek Wraiths,
Whip Coils - 129pts

3 x Tomb Blades,
Nebuloscope, Shield Vanes - 66pts

Total - 1000pts.

I plan to create a firing line with warriors with the stalker behind to bolster their shooting, with the Ghost Arks sandwiched between the squads to boost RP. One flank will have the tomb blades, while the other has the remaining squad and ghost ark, with the wraiths as back up.
