Necron DoubleCAD

HQ

Destroyer Lord (The Nightmare Shroud, Phase Shifter, Warscythe) - 190pts
Illuminor Szeras - 110pts
Cryptek (Veil of Darkness, Chronometron, Staff of light) - 115pts

Troops

10 Warriors (Ghost Ark) - 235pts
10 Warriors (Ghost Ark) - 235pts
10 Warriors (Ghost Ark) - 235pts
17 Warriors - 221pts
10 Immortals (Nightscythe) - 300pts

Fast Attack

5 Wraiths (3 Whip Coils) - 209pts

Total - 1850pts

Szeras would buff and join the 17 warrior squad, while Cryptek with Veil would join the Nightscythe Immortals. Deploy via Nightscythe on certain Objective, then redeploy on another objective while they are 11 models with 3+/5++/4+++. The 3 Ghost Arks would sway arround for objectives and support the 17 man foot squad. Destroyer lord with 2+ save tanks for the Wraiths and hopefully get in combat with something scary. Troops benefit from ObSec and the Ghost Ark size and length is helping me contest objectives that foot warriors would not be able to alone. It's a list meant to be tough to kill, that doesn't focus on removing the opponent from the board, rather just score objectives and give out as few kill points as possible (well, I know ghost arks are quite easy kill points, but everything besides that). Ghost Arks are also meant to be jinking even at the lowest of threats.

Now this I like. Mainly just because I think those 17 warriors will be truely unkillable unless they get assualted. 3 ghostarchs and all those warriors give you plenty of options for capping objectives.

My only question is do you really need the veil on the cryptech? And does the destroyer lord need the 2+? My suggestion would be get a gauntlet of configuration on the cryptech, drop him off next to something you want deleted. Like a bikestar or something similar.

Maybe it's too situational but I just think to myself you already have the nightsythe and the bodyguards, why not go all the way? Just a thought.

Also I love that you're using illuminor, he's kinda gimmicky but I like him and having t5 warriors is amazing!!! You never see him, trazyn, or immotech in any of the lists nowadays and though they aren't the most powerful things out there they are still fun to play, fun to play against, and mainly fun to see painted and on the tabletop.

Again, I'm not going to "erase" stuff with my 10man Immortal Squad. Their shooting is way too bad to actually erase something usefull. The Gauntlet is a nice suggestion for the squad. However, the whole reason I wanted to include a character in that squad was for the Veil (I want to position them 1 turn on an objective with the Nightscythe) and then be able to reposition them, either on a different objective or another tactical move. I don't want to rely on my immortals to "erase" a bike deathstar. I don't really "need" to kill a bike deathstar since there's nothing said bike deathstar can kill in my list exept Ghost Arks (if you're referring to Grav. If you're talking about Ravenwing, Plasma shots can't really kill too much versus my tide). I would totally go for the Gauntlet if it wasn't an Artifact and I could get that both and the Veil. I can't really change the veil.

Do I need the 2+ on the Destroyer Lord? The Wraiths outside of Decurion/Canoptek Harvest are very survivable versus low AP weaponry, but volume of shots will get them down. I'll be tanking all non-AP2 shots with my Destroyer Lord with a 2+ followed by a 5++. The AP2 shots I'll "Look Out Sir" on the 3+ invulnerable two-wound wraiths. It's not necessary, but points efficiency-wise, it boosts the Wraithstar's survivability in such great numbers, it'd be an omission to not get it! What better could I go for, anyway?

Yes, Szeras is a fun. T5 is obviously going to be really scary with 4+ RP as well as Ghost Ark support. However, BS5 is also going to prove really usefull, and, tbh with Str5 I'd think before assaulting a unit with 18 models, 4+/4++ and Str5 attacks. So that's not THAT bad, either.

Thank you for the comments!
