Ghaz and a few Goff Sergeants are leading a Speed Freak Cult of Trukk Boyz into an ITC style series of games.

For the most part it's a light Council. Ghaz, a DLSMAW, a Big Mek lite with MFF, and a 1offWarboss with the Killchoppa all in the Auxillary Wagon. 5 Trukks of Boyz plus Nob and Klaw, then 1 Trukk which the CoreBoss with Klaw will ride with the 10 Ork Boyz that have no Nob. Also, the spareMek will probably go in the CoreBoss's trukk. I almost cut the Killchoppa but at i4 rending/ID seems like a mild deterrent to the unwieldy AP2 monsters that tend to get bumped into the Council.

At this point, I have 1817 points here, I have been considering an Attack Squig for 1offWarboss and then the same for the Coreboss, then an extra grot. If not that, then I have been considering a trukk for the Nobz, then an extra grot. Anywho, I have 33 points, where does it go? (Note, there are no Bosspoles because I am banking on not losing Ghaz unless it's a tabling).

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

Is it legal to equip a model in the council with the MFF and another two with Da Lucky Stikk and the Killchoppa? I think that you're only allowed to take relics from W!G, or maybe you can chose but i don't think you can mix relics from two separate books in the same unit. I'd cut a nob in the council, take just the mandatory three nobz, a banner and no other upgrades on them. With the remaining points i'd add a couple of mek gunz, you don't have any fire power at all. If you cut the killchoppa for a regular big choppa, da lucky stikk (if you can't take it) you can field a full unit of 5 lobbas or 3 KMKs. I'd also drop every big shoota in the trukks in order to get rokkits, that's a free upgrade. If you don't want (or you don't own) mek gunz you can alternatively take as many solo deffkpotas you can field, they're always useful.

Don't see how it's going to work without a VSG if you don't get the 1-st turn.

I have yet use one, I don't have that book, I have not the model. If you have another moment to reply, some information on how to field/play would be appreciated. I'll google it myself when I have time.

Will I require a seperate CAD?

The problem with the orkurion is the cost of the council, a huge point sink for a 1850 format. The orkurion has sense in 2500 points games, and it's not the most competitive choice anyway. At 1850 with 6 trukks, a BW, 2 footslogging weak unit and maybe some mek gunz you're not that scary. May be ok in casual games but if you're going to a tournament or in a series of competitive games without first turn you may lose the game turn 1 or 2. VSG in not included in the orkurion, it would certainly required a CAD but you can't fit both a CAD and the orkurion in a 1850 points game.

Yeah I am in Battlescribe trying to make it work now. By the time I lose two trucks and nobz with klaw and even the battlewagon for a trukk the killchoppa then pay 30 points to fill an auxillary I have something that looks messy. The CAD is a hefty tax to get VSG.

I googled some information on the VSG, the projected shields only work 12 inches around the building correct?

I like your original list. With your remaining 33 points, I'd drop the shoota on the coreboss to bump it to 35 for a trukk with a ram for the second unit of nobz. The golden rule of trukk lists is a least 8 trukks, you'd have 7 and a battle wagon, so looking good. Your battlewagon should take most of the heat, and with the big mek, the mad doc, 6w of nobz, ghaz, and a DLSMAWB you should be okay. Use grots to bubblewrap vs alpha strike or cc heavy armies. Every turn waaagh should provide the mobility redundancy needed to survive going second should the worst happen.

I would not count on a tabling. Always play for objectives. Your trukk boyz should focus on maelstrom while your deathstar scores secondary objectives like linebreaker, slay the warlord, and tertiary killpoints. You have MSU concepts but aren't really an MSU army. A purebred MSU list has like 24+ scoring units. Even if ghaz & co wipe 2 a turn, it's a long road ya know? So while they can crump any bully unit, IK, WK, daemon, MC, GMC, SH etc... In high mobility small unit size max amount of units sort of games, they'll have more value as a tank and board control. (So try and deploy them at the center of your army.) Just something to keep in mind.

Also, I'd swap out all your big shootas for rokkits. But that's it. Wouldn't worry about the VSG.
