I'm contemplating whether to buy the Chaos Daemons codex or not. Do you think they will release a new one any time soon, its hard to judge because of the rumors about 8th edition? I can borrow my friends here and there but that gets annoying.

Would it be better to just buy the Curse of the Wulfen, or is that not complete with the Daemon portion?

I doubt Chaos Daemons will get a quick update unless 8th edition invalidates all the codexes, in which case people might still play with 7th edition (or earlier) anyway. I guess you have to ask yourself though is if Chaos Daemons has everything you want for the Daemons or are you going to need some of the more recent supplements which give new Daemon stuff? If so and you can't afford both, you might get the newer thing if you can't borrow that and continue borrowing your friend's C for a bit.

Yes i would like the new Supplements to have the updated rules... Im guessing Curse of the WUlfen? and I already have Wrath of Magnus.

Wast the codex updated to include the incursion and associated formations?

I doubt they will get a new Dex soon. Just this week a bunch of Tzeetch Daemons are getting released, so highly unlikely.
And I don't think GW has released a "new" codex in over 6 months, but seem content to just add supplementary material.
Speaking of, if you get the Daemon Codex, you'll also need the Curse of the Wulfen in order to have all the rules to play a Daemon army.
You technically only need the Codex, but since the BloodThirster & Pink Horror entries have been replaced along with addition to all the Psychic diciplines, you'll either have to not play those, or bum the rules too.
Plus CotW has some kickass wargear in it.

Edit: I just saw that you have WoM, so you're good for the Horrors, but you still need CotW

I believe the digital version includes the Curse of the Wulfen content.

Thats def a nice $ saver. Thanks for the advice all! It does include the updates for Curse of the Wulfen, but I wonder if it has all of them for Daemons.... hmmm....

I use the digital daemon codex.... it does come with curse of the wulfen updates but NOT wrath of magnus.... hopefully they will update it at some point :-)

They did release the imperial agents codex, which introduced some new factions and updated some rules
