The question came up when I was looking at models that were posed dual wielding weapons, and I wouldn't be surprised if there was no evidence to or contrary to the question, but are Eldar naturally ambidextrous, or do they have to train to become so? And what about Orks?

Ork models have left and right hand variants for most shootas and choppas, but in the orks' case I'd say that they're so clumsy that it really doesn't matter which hand they use. The eldar, meanwhile, are so disgustingly perfect that they're all probably ambidextrous by birth.

Orks aren't particularly clumsy, actually. They have low BS because they don't bother to aim, instead preferring to let weight of fire work for them.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I don't think there's any evidence either way really. I know most Craftworld Eldar hold their swords in their right hands, and most Dark Eldar hold them in their left as left-handedness used to be associated with evil (it's where the word sinister comes from).

I doubt we'll ever find out really.

As with everyone else in this thread, I don't know of any concrete answer to your question but I would assume the orks aren't precise enough to have a main hand and that the Eldar are all ambidextrous because they're humans+1.

An ork can clobber with his right hand, and he can clobber with his left hand, by ork definition he is ambidextrous

Yes that is right. At least from what I have read. They aren't inherently clumsy with regards to their guns. It is just that as long as the gun is big, and loud and aimed in the general direction of the enemy as it sprays ungodly amounts of ammunition in the process then it is doing it's job. Gotta love dem Orks

An ork can use either hand to rip the eldar's arms out of their sockets. Therefore the ork is ambidextrous while the eldar is ambi-dead.

Well, if their brains have cerebral hemispheres with distinct functions like us, then they might have right-handed and left-handed individuals. If not - possible ambidexerity.

Quick, to Xenology!

Diddliddliddliddleee...

Looks like Eldar do have split hemispheres, although whether that would mean one side would be more dominant/house co-ordination is anyone's guess.

Looks like Orks have very distinctly split hemispheres, with the skull extending slightly between them. Interestingly, their brains look very similar in structure (if not relative size) to the Eldar. Evidence of Old One tampering methinks...
