Where exactly does it say that servitors can be taken by cult mechanicus? This is new to me. If it's allowed, I think its a bad choice. Each servitor is costed as you've indicated but each cannon is 15pts. Thats 200pts for 4 squads, that each turn, on a 1, 2 or 3 may do nothing.

It would be under the "free upgrade" special rule of war convo

The Battle Congregation is only limited to Cult Mech faction, witch Servitors fall under. Also as part of the War Convo all upgrades and wargear are free. So 20pts for 2 Plasma cannons.
A. They don't get hot because of the War Convo
B. They are large blast because of the reactor

They still have a chance of not shooting, sure, but they are 20pts. Lol and average of 4 Large plas blasts.

I dunno it's a different way to run a war con. you should try proxying everything and play testing before you buy.

It could be good. I like the 36" range over the kat destro's 24"
