*Note, this is not an OPSEC violation. I'm not listing locations, dates, or anything, so save me the PM's and all that please.
LOL! Quick, let's investigate his emails!
Don't worry, we have a pres who seems fine with open air security meetings with foreign heads of state, so OPSEC does not seem to be priority 1.
Heh. I've had people question my "opsec violations" in the past, on here. I've never done such a thing, some folks just tend to worry a bit.
At anyrate, I'll be perfectly safe. I've finally moved up to a point in my career that I get to work with really important people, who typically wear Eagles and Stars on their shoulders, so that means I've got pretty small chances of being shot at. Thanks for the concern though everyone.

In all seriousness though, stay safe over there.

What a gakker. Sad! Pathetic actually.
As a non-American, it's morbidly fascinating to watch a malignant narcissist try to deal with the daily assault upon his sense of self. Very unfair!

the few minutes I caught in the lounge was certainly...emphatic.
Even if all these allegations are actually false, his ability to manage the bad press and administrative crisis' is, well, unconvincing. He can't even manage being silent and letting something blow over, he just keeps feeding it.

But don't forget that there were numerous Top Secret (some with SAP!) information on a ridiculously amateurish private email server that was obviously compromised.
A presidential candidate having poor email security is nothing like the same level of severity as a president and/or his staffers having secret communications with a foreign power. That is a sentence that didn't need to be typed.
Look up what TS-SAP means. Since you're reflectively handwaving my responses, at least try to be cognizant the magnitude of having that on an unprotected, unauthorized server.
And for what its worth, I never had a problem with the leaks about the details of Clinton's emails. My issue was with how overblown the issue was, but I never thought individuals were wrong for leaking any of the details. The only leak that bothered me in the whole email thing was the final leak that the FBI was going to re-open now it has access to the Weiner emails, and my issue there was with how talk about a criminal investigation appears, when the defendant has no real right of reply.
James Comey was required by law to report the 're-opening' to Congress... he had no choice.
And consider this again: Huma Abelin had the Clinton Email server backups of the emails on her laptop... which was the same laptop used by her & Clinton lawyers reviewed to send in the subpoena'ed email to the committee.
That is the *same* laptop that her pervy husband used that got him ensnared with the FBI pedo investigation. Just imagine the sites pervy husband would go...

Yeah, no, this is just... feth.
There's this fething bonkers idea that because Russia is no longer nominally communist, it is no longer an enemy or something.
There was hope for normalised relations with Russia after their liberalisation, but those hopes are long gone. The Russia we have today, Putin's Russia, they invade other countries simply to expand their own power base. That is not something the international community can accept if it wants to continue to have things like international borders and independent, sovereign states. Normalising Russian behaviour means the world will very quickly move back to allied, armed camps all attaching themselves to major powers in order to gain any kind of security.
Because we all know that's a very terrible idea, instead the greater international community looks to punish countries that ignore national borders and invade without due cause. Which means Russia needs to be punished and isolated until it stops invading other countries.
Agreed... just wished Obama had the cajones to do something about it. (and no, sanctions isn't enough).
And now... we have Cheeto Jesus... yay! <rolls eyes>
At least Cheeto Jesus is saying "return Crimea". As to how he'd make Russia do that... I have no idea.
Maybe he should take the same tactic that China is doing in the south sea... that is, build a military base on a man-made island in the black sea.

Are you cheerleading military escalation in the Baltic? Because that's what I'm reading.
Economic sanctions are working. Hence the collusion with the Trump camp and the fake news campaign that unfortunately juuuust the right number of Americans fell for.

Europe NEEDS American military might. But on the flip side of that, we don't NEED our troops stationed overseas.
Wrong.
We absolutely "need" certain bases overseas. Bases like Landstuhl act as absolutely vital parts of US military medicine structures kind of as part of that "force protection"... I dont know, because I was never stationed there, but I'd imagine we have a similar labyrinthine hospital in the Pacific as well. Some of the higher ranking medical NCOs that I've met have shown me the theoretical side, and how/when they make a decision to move wounded troops from frontline facilities to places like Landstuhl and later Walter Reed. There have been cases where the decision is literally "stabilize Joe here, or in flight, but get him to Germany NOW" occur, and until we change our foreign policy, and quit being the World Police, we are going to continue needing these overseas facilities.
But, I'm with Lord of Hats... If we could quit jumping into other countries for a fair few years, we wouldn't feel the need to jump into others as well.

No, he's just cheerleading for his team. If it was President Clinton/Obama who did the same, Whembly would have been the first to make a huge scandal about it, saying it's unacceptable Democrats side with Russia.
Remember when people were voting against Clinton because she would get us involved in a land war in Syria? Now we are celebrated anticipated military ribbons and badges.

You read it wrong. They said Hillary Clinton started a war.
But you don't understand how it works; if it is Trump, then everything is fine.
Remember what happened with Bush when he started all of its gak about Irak? When being against the war meant you weren't a "true patriot", or even a traitor to the USA? Be ready for the same here. History is always repeating itself.

Yep, it'll be a gold ribbon, the best ribbon. Simply amazing, absolutely the best. It'll be the best war we've ever had, trust me

I don't know what's the right response when a national "annexes" a territory.
Sanctions isn't going to make the RU leadership change their minds...
It's wrecking havoc, yes... but, it's the joe schmoes feeling the impact moreso than the RU leadership.

Maybe because Clinton is continually fething things up?
Maybe there's more faith in the likes of Mattis?
Maybe?

So when people said that they are voting for Trump because he is not a warmonger and would keep us out of Syria they really meant that they were voting for Mattis because he would invade yet another country and do it right?
But honestly, who is surprised to see you do a 180 on a position that made Clinton horrible.

Twasn't me who banged on Clinton's hawkishness... Clinton has plenty of other bad gak.
I think I'm on record that as long as there are clear & concise objectives, I'm okay with it. I'm not 'happy about it' or 'actively advocating' to go to war... and frankly, I still think it'd be a mistake to get entangled with that. However, at the same time, I have to give peeps like Mattis respect because they'll be neck deep in the plannings in this endeavor.
Furthermore, this is a weird line attack on Trump voters as TRUMP himself has advocated to 'taking out ISIS'. So... it isn't a "new idea"...
So, apparently even the Fox News anchor's just can't even anymore...
Awkward.
Also Harward says "no".

Double-awkward.
I wouldn't want to be the guy replacing Flynn either though
So...does anyone else recall an administration that has been this much of a train wreck in the first...almost month?

Yeah. It's Lincoln's fault the South was run by petulant man children
If we're going to blame any Presidents of "starting" the Civil War, it would be Polk and Buchanan. With an assist from Stephen Douglas, the poor naive do gooder. Honestly. Only a fool would pass a law saying "states get to pick what kind of state they will be" and expect Southerners not to read it as "the North is going to ban slaves!"

Abraham Lincoln, he started a civil war and watched the south secede almost as fast.
while I would grant that a war starting is not a great start to an administration, to say that Abraham Lincoln started the war is... more than a wee bit ridiculous. One can criticize aspects of his administration, there are plenty, but the idea that Lincoln started the war doesn't have much...supporting evidence.

EDIT:
Also this now.
"WH dismisses six staffers for failing background checks"
One of the dismissed staffers includes Caroline Wiles, director of scheduling, the daughter of President Trump’s Florida campaign manager. She will instead get a job at the Treasury Department, sources told Politico.
Yeah, someone who couldn't pass a background check was in an administrative director role...so instead they'll kick her over to the Treasury department...

I voted against Clinton because she's a socialist gak hole with a dumpster fire of policies. And I'm not cheering the thought of going back to the Middle East, and there's nothing I can do to prevent it unless I want to be a spineless deserter like those feltchers on that movie Stoploss, so I'd rather see the silver lining and be amused at a second chance at one of the more coveted awards an 11B can get. That's if I'd even GET a slot as an 11B now...
