Hi i really like the concept of a flying circus and i made many since i started daemons back 2014 with start of 7th edition^^.

So as of now, there are some Flying Circus Lists around, namely Rehati Warsect, Infernal Tetrad and maybe Omniscient Oracles.

I really like Nurgle and Tzeentch, but with the new Rules for Pink Horrors and the new models for LOC and Kairos i see myself pushed another route (as i can't see myself buying 60 Bluehorros and 30 Brimstones only to play my 30 Horrors. Also LOC and Kairos are a lot of money =( )

My crux is that i want to stay competitive, but also don't want to field a lot of Horros (have the models but hate the split rule) or LOC and Kairos (as i lack the models). I know they are super competitive at the moment, but it really turns me off when i think about the split rule.

So last few days, i thought about making a Daemon Flying Circus army (Nurgle Flying Circus with GUO 3 Princes some Plaguebearers etc), but without Fateweaver the Warpstorm really hurts and screws you over (in my opinion). Could add a cheap Tzeentch HQ for the WoM Warpstorm, but that also isn't the best solution.

Then we have the Tetrad, but it's the same Problem with the Warpstorm and the Slannesh Prince is a weak link in it, and Khorne is also in danger of dying fast. Incursion is really hard to make as i only have 3x3 Nurglings but lots of Plaguebearers (around 60). But if i go the Plaguebearer route i have to strip some reward or Mls of the Princes=(.

Next i can make the Rehati Warsect. Magnus + 4 DPs of Tzeentch but then i lack bodies (could fit a Lost and Damned Formation in it, but don't know how good that is instead of Brimstones).

One of my last ideas was to take the new Traitors Legion, as they give all special rules to guys with VotlW. So there are 4 Legions that could be good for a FMC List (Iron Warriors, Emperors Children and Deathguard, maybe Word Bearers). I think DPs got some really good benefits with the Traitors Legion Book and are in my opinion now only a toe behind Chaosdaemon Princes (not a leg like before).

The Vectoriums are all to expensive and some of them don't help the DPs at all, so it's better to stick to a CAD i thought. (Stealth and reroll FnP rolls of one are really good, but a 400-500 Point Tax for it?)

Here's my idea with a Deathguard CAD with 4 DPs of Nurgle:

2xCAD
DP of Nurgle with Flight, Armour, Spellfamiliar, ML3 and Black Mace
DP of Nurgle with Flight, Armour, Spellfamiliar, ML3 and Plaguebringer
DP of Nurgle with Flight, Armour, Spellfamiliar, ML3
DP of Nurgle with Flight, Armour, Spellfamiliar, ML3
4x10 Cultists with MoN

1600 Points

So i have 250 left for some other things. Anyone ideas what to add with the last 250 points?

Advantages are in my opinion:
- no warpstorm (cause without incursion or fatey the storm sucks)
- Spellfamiliars
- Daemonweapons
- somewhere resiliant princes 2+ Cover 5++ and 5+ FnP
- new csm psycic powers
- no instability

Disadvantages:
- no rewards (so no balesword, IwnD etc.)
- 1 power is lost to the nurgle table (don't know if the new table is it really worth)
- weaker and not fearless troops
- only thougness 5 (but this is only when compared to a tetrad list or omniscient oracles)

So my plan is that one of the DPs will summon and the rest does what a Flying Circus does-->punching things.

Don't know what i need for summoning, but i have a decent collection of CSM and Daemons.

- 20 Daemonettes
- 10 Bloodletter
- 60 Plaguebearer
- 30 Horrors
- 20 Fleshhounds (old Chaoswarhounds)
- 9 Nurglings
- 12 Flamer
- 18 Screamer
- 2 Nurgle Heralds
- 1 Tzeentch Herald
- 9 Plaguedrones
- about 8 DPs
- 3 Bloodthirster
- 2 GUO

So thats my collection and i hope you guys can help me with my army and to make a summon pool (i don't want to take all my daemons with me to summon some of them).

Hope my List is somewhere competitive? Looking forward to some answers =).

On a sidenote:

Read it somewhere on dakka today or was it yesterday? Doesn't matter anyways=). So a Deathguard Vectorium can take the Plaguecolony as a Core and if they take 3 Units of Plaguemarines and a Lord they can reduce initiative and weaponskill by one, they also get fear and have blightgranedes.

So you can throw a grenade for blind or force a fear check (by non marine and non fearless armies) and reduce their weaponskill to one and if you are in 7" they have weaponskill 0 and can't attack.

Thought about a Deathguard List with the Plaguecolony core + Spawn Aux and 3 DPs

Here it is:

Plaguecolony
Lord on Bike, Blightgrenades, PF + LC, MoN, Sigil
2x5 Plaguemarines with 2x Plasma and a Rhino each
1x5 Plaguemarines (no upgrades) in a Rhino

Aux
5 Nurgle Spawn

Lord of the Legion
Daemonprince of Nurgle, Wings, Armour, ML 3, Spellfamiliar, Blackmace
Daemonprince of Nurgle, Wings, Armour, ML 3, Spellfamiliar, Plaguebringer
Daemonprince of Nurgle, Wings, Armour, ML 3, Spellfamiliar

1850 points.

What do you think?

I quite like the list. Maybe worth dropping armour on one Prince to hunt grav? Just an idea.

Fear applies a fixed modifier so I don't think you can reduce it to zero.

Just to clear a couple things up here:

1. Plague Marines don't have Fear. You need the Icon for that or the Delorous Knell.

2. Using Blight grenades in conjunction with fear won't really matter as Fear reduces WS TO 1, not BY 1. Therefore you can't reduce it to zero.

Hm sorry man, but they have fear from the Formation=).

Your second point is completely right. I thought that it could be reduced below 1.
