i saw a couple of battle reports of a scion army and it look interesting being an infantry focus army with "normal" people. So now a want to try building a small force, first for kill team and eventually a full blown army of them, but before spending all my savings on the models i would love to hear your opinions.
i know an army like this will not give me a lot of victories (if any) but i really like the models and they look like the kind of army i've been looking for, a "normal human" army that dont ask for dozens and dozens of soldiers and tanks (at least for what i saw and red so far)
thanks in advance and sorry for the bad english

MT have obvious problems. They cost too much. Tauroxes are good, but to flimsy. The formations generally aren't useful. They are a deep strike army that gets no reserve or scatter modifiers. Their Orders have some good, but also a lot of worthless.
I play MT. Generally with Inquisition allies. MT can work solo. But they work better the smaller the game. For instance, I took 2nd in a Kill Team tournament. They work fine in combat patrol.
But as you add points, and other armies add assault / psychic / super heavy components MT falls farther, and farther behind.
The biggest challenge to winning games is that you've got to have something left at the end of the game. Scions die so easily compared to other armies. That's what my inquisition gives me with their cheap squads and transports, and psychics, so generally I have something left at the end of the game.

Bellow a 1000 pts they are decent and very fun to play in my opinion. They are very similar to Dark Eldars in many aspect. Of course they were designed to be allies more than anything else which is why they can't perform in games with high point scores. In Team Kill they are both very cool, pretty good and very fluffy to use n such circomstances. I absolutly love them and even grew to like the Taurox design (with a decent paint job, they look okay). My only beef with them is that they could use a bit more punch in close combat, some reserve manipulation gear and a few female models to be absolutly perfect for what I use them.

In that case it would be better to get just 200pts of MT for kill team and as allies for my dark angels (dark vengeance unit set)?

They would pair well with the Terminators if you DS them, allowing you to bring special weapons to neutralize the biggest threat to your termies.

Put a cap on 1250. Above, you need allies.
