It's gonna be Eldar, IoM, and Tau vs Tyranids vs Orks vs Chaos vs Necrons. I mean sure it's different, but I hope we don't see guardians firing lasguns or wraithbone dreadnoughts.

Guardians originally used lasguns

...and Wraithlords were originally 'Eldar Dreadnaughts'
Still, I do actually think that eventuality is unlikely, despite all the ' 40k End Times' rhetoric.

Having just finished the Fracture story, I think Eldar are more "fractured" than before. Sure the Ynnari come from all paths of Eldar, but it also looks like many object to it as well. The Covens clearly do not like the Ynnari, nor do those Commorites loyal to Vect. And even though some Bel-Tani, Ulthweans and Iyandeni joined the Ynnari, most remained with their Craftworld and had serious reservations about anything Yvraine was preaching. So instead of all Aeldari uniting, we end up with yet another Sub-faction. This MIGHT be the seeds of Aeldari unification, but for now it is a sub-faction. What I really do like about this story is just how many sub-plots it wrapped up. Yriel's Spear of Twilight being a Crone Sword that SAVED his life rather than draining it away. The Decapitator finished his skull room. I wonder if this will lead to a Mandrake sub-faction? The Altansari being shrouded by Ynnead being how they survived their time in the Eye, and that being why they don't removed their helmets (cuz they look like well preserved corpses rather than living Eldar). I know some people think all this seems forced, but as a long time Eldar fan, finally getting some plot movement on these and other things was very satisfying. -

Yeah I must admit I had massive trepidations as another long-time Eldar fan, but the book really delivered.
Nothing seemed like a ' WTF' moment. Everything appeared to be natural as to how I'd expect different events to pan out. They didn't break any factions beyond repair or practicable use.

Now that I didn't know.
How awesome is that?!

It strikes me more as the Deus Ex Machina device that directs a Hive Fleet of tremendous size directly towards Terra, disrupting what I presume will be a second Siege of Terra during Abbadon's 13th Black Crusade.
"Abbadon has the Imperium on the ropes, ladies and gentlemen, and he's asking for a chair! Yes, he's got the chair, this is the end, he's raising it for the final str- OH MY GOD, ladies and gentlemen, he's been tackled and disarmed by The Swarmlord outta nowhere! Ladies and gentlemen, what an upset! I don't know if Abbadon will be able to recover from this!"
Is it bad that when I read this, I imagined the commentators from Blood Bowl saying it? Probably my favorite post in this thread so far besides the OP's.

A few days late to the party here, but I don't see how Tyranids could ever work with anyone. They're pretty unique in motivation and action, and don't really have a fantasy counterpart.
