Pretty wary of this raft of faux-historical serials coming out replete with sex and violence in the wake of the success of GoT. I'll definitely give it a shot but given the direction Vikings took I won't hold my breath.

I wonder if they will turn up at Bannockburn?

Did anyone else read the title and think this was a reboot of that vampire-cop show?

To be fair, the middle ages were pretty rampant with sex and violence XD

The idea of a chaste Western Europe is a pretty modern invention. I remember reading a book on King Alfonso X, aka the Wise King, of Spain who maintained a dozen affairs outside his marriage. Everyone knew about them. No one gave a gak, because as a virile man his lust couldn't be satiated by any one woman and he had to let his urges out to govern with a calm mind. Seriously. That's the logic they used back then XD
