So who else thinks a fast transport for the Imperial guard would be useful?
Basically an Ork trukk with heavy stubber instead of big shoota. Fast, open topped, 12 man capacity, 3 hull points. Basically like a modern unarmored truck for transporting troops. The Guard are just so slow, and have no assault vehicles for shotgun vets with flamers to be used as assault guys.

In any case, the cost of a DT for guard are prohibitive to have a full army with mobile squads. With the cheapest Taurox costing as much as an entire 10 man squad, when compared to the Space Marine Rhino, where the cost is as much as only 2.5 troops. Considering you have 1 or 2 marines operating the vehicle/ manning the gun the metal box is the cost of a single marine?

Yes I would like to see this. That and perhaps guardsmen in motorcycle and side car combos. With heavy stubbers or heavy bolter.

hmm maybe. like a jeep for smaller transport squads, with capacity 6 models. Like a special weapons squad or a command squad (or a minimum 3 Ogryns)

25p, av10, fast, open topped, HP2 heavy stubber or flamer, transport 6 models...

That might be perfect for the small guard squads... I like the idea of getting special weapons squads to where they need to be!

Commercial stupidity aside I agree.
They should also have two trailer upgrades for extra transport capacity.

* No extra cost but a 6" movement penalty - for safety reasons.
*Costs a bit extra but can move full distance.

If regular Tauroxes could be Fast just like Taurox Primes, then I think that would be good enough.

But AM would still benefit, and make sense fluff wise to have a cheap people mover. Just let us have ork trukks dammit
