Two Ynnari players are in a mirror match.
Player A destroys player B's bike with a unit within 7". Player B also has another unit within 7".
What happens?
Player A destroys player B's bike with a unit but has no unit within 7". Player B also has another unit within 7", and destroys another unit, which is with 7" of units from both Player A and Player B?
What happens?
Edit: Disregard, sequencing.

This would be a situation where before the game the two players decide what to do. I think a fair solution would be to allow the player who's turn it is to do their soul burst action first. Or a roll off like with scout moves. The rules do not cover this interaction.

In the past they had this situation with Necron armies fighting each other and asking whether the Resurrection Orb from the other side could apply to your army. GW ruled that it affected only its own army, so that might be a precedent for how GW would treat this.

The soul-burst action takes effect when any (friend or foe) unit is fully destroyed within 7" of a model with the strength from death special rule. Different situation. Both are certainly granted a soul-burst action. I would say resolve simultaneously but then what if both units want to assault each-other? Who is the charger?

Thanks again. I saw that same answer on the thread about novas and Strength from Death.
Regardless, it's hilarious how many threads Soulburst has spawned on YMDC.

'Hilarious' is not the word I would use. Why could GW have just traded Battle Focus, Ancient Doom & Power from Pain for a simpler rule? Like Preferred Enemy: Slaanesh & 6+ FNP Seriously, just having a Detachment that allows all the units from 3 codices was a bonus enough Or better yet, just do what AoS did for Aelves: give BF to DE & Harlies and give PfP to Eldar & Harlies.....wait, that might be too much -

It is really confusing.p, and has caused mass confusion. I only have a vague understanding of it myself. I agree with Galef too, maybe give them a hybrid of battle focus and PfP that grants increased movement and possible other buffs based on the game turn?

We have no reason to assume it's not simultaneous - since both actions are to resolve "immediately" I'd say they should be - then we have our answer. Players whos turn it is chooses. Automatically Appended Next Post: gnome_idea_what wrote: Galef wrote:

Granted the fluff - it is actually a pretty good way to put fluff into rules. It really is just battle focus +1 though - instead of running and shooting like in battle focus - you can chose to shoot again or assault again. The thing I think is silly about it is that it procs off enemy death too...which is like...maybe too easy to chain together?
