It seems like you are drawn into this allure of all the fancy bits you can put on your units.

I would if anything recommend you get rid of all the drop pods, play ALL of your units as bare bones as possible and learn how your troops function at a basic level, put the most models on the table as you can.

Special ammunition allows you to hit enemy units hiding in cover from either 24-30" away if you use the stalker, why would you want to drop pod right next to them? You should be raking them with fire every turn and punishing them for standing so far away from you.

Terminator Assault Squad (5) - 185pts
1 Sergeant: Thunder hammer and storm shield
4 Assault Terminator: Two lightning claws

Veterans (5) - 230pts - 265/w drop pod
1 Watch Sergeant: Boltgun,Close combat weapon
4 Veteran: Heavy thunder hammer

You are say that you will be paying nearly 80 points for 5 guys with a 3+ save and no invul vs 5 guys with deepstrike and an 2+/3++

Why would you do this? Why would you want to give a veteran team heavy thunder hammers? For what reason?

Its like you are in the middle of the street and you want to buy lunch and on one side you can buy it for 5$ and on the other side its 8.50$ for the same exact lunch but you want to eat there because you like their sign better, it makes no sense.

Honestly you need more models on the table. Part of the reason Veterans are expensive is because of the special ammo so you are blowing points by taking a unit that has those benefits and then throwing them away to kit them out with other things. It would be like taking land raiders and then not putting anyone in them, you may as well have taken Leman Russ's at that point, their ability to transport is part of their cost as a model.

A 5 man squad of normal spacemarine terminators can deepstrike with 4 chainfists, 1 cyclone missile launcher and 1 assault cannon is only 245 points and they all have a 2+ save.

I think you need to assess what your strategy actually is and don't waste points or use units created for that task and need to figure out what exactly your strategy is

So with what I got now I'll be reworking it in a min., but the frag cannon drop pods will go in turn 1 and take out the biggest threat possible on the board most likely the warlord. Terminator lib will be joining one of the units for invisibility to make it real tough to take them out and so they can last. It also has an auspex removing 1 from cover for any unit so jinking will be 5+. The sniper crew will be picking off anyone that would flank the frags or due to bad rolls finish off the warlord. I don't know where I should put Greyfax and the Watch Captain will join the other drop pod that's not with the lib. Lastly the other kill team will just be the bare bones 110 with a pod to get rid of a unit of troops preferably with an IC or psyker for the rerolls. If I get rid of Greyfax I could run an LR with a kill team loaded with heavy thunderhammers to rush whatever kind of knight, daemon prince, and so on or I could just add the IG formation. Those are my tactics so far, but I don't know. To be honest I don't have a clue.

Dreadnoughts in Drop Pods.
Two Drop Pods with Kill teams, three with Dreadnoughts. That'll give you the threat to keep some heat off the Land Raider. Load the Dreads with heavy Flamer/Powerfists - if you have re-rolls to hit Plasma Canons get crazy quickly, I'd recommend one Dread being a Venerable with an Assault Canon and drop them on top of stuff you can't eliminate with the Frag Canons or anything that can threaten the Land Raider. If your model count is too low, force your opponent to join the Elitist party
Still leaves the problems of Necrons and Grav Marines being able to throw down more than three pods of Dreads can eliminate. You will outrange the Necrons with the Kill teams but Space Marines still present problems.

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Blood Angels have their own fair share of issues - and no special boltguns.

Proposal list

Black Spear
*Aquilla Kill Team*

2x Vets - HTH
3x Vet
1x Libby

2× Dreadnought - Heavy Flamer/Drop Pod

1× Land Raider Redeemer

Command Venerable Dread - Heavy Flamer/Assault Canon Drop Pod

*CAD*

1× Libby

4× Vets
1× Vet with Frag Canon
Drop Pod

4× Vets
1× Vet with Frag Canon
Drop Pod

1x Vanguard Vet HTH

1× Vanguard Vet HTH

1× Vanguard Vet HTH

1× Biker

1× Biker

1× Biker

Comes to around 1600 points, just about every unit is getting in your opponent's face and threatening on turn one. The Land Raider carrying HTH Vets isn't the single biggest threat on the board.

Just lose the Land Raider. It is garbage.

I commend your efforts but you can only lead a horse to water.

Lead the horse to water with sugar cubes, it'll drink without you forcing it.
The list is a proposal, a suggestion, I'm willing to bet there's people who have played their Deathwatch more who could make a much better one.

One thing to note with your previous list: Aquila kill teams can't just be a Veteran squad, they require one more thing (terminator, libby, etc.) with them.
