My wife got them for me as a valentines gift. She loves me, hates the game though. Still need a few more orks, but starting to make progress.

Is there a specific question?

In any case, welcome to the WAAAAGH! If there's one thing you learn about trukks in 40k, its that you need a lot of them if you want your payload of boyz to get where they want to be!

Trukk boyz are also quite fragile and are effectively ablative wounds for the almost mandatory power klaw Nob leading it. Be sure to take a boss pole on him as well to deal with the inevitable morale issues. They work best if there's another unit of trukk boyz racing alongside them, because that way you can mob up on a specific target and even if they try to challenge out one of your Nobz, you have the other unit's nob to smack their unit/model silly with the PK.

Trukks are best taken with a rokkit launcha weapons swap from the big shoota and taken just with the reinforced ram to ensure it gets to where it needs to be. Cheap and simple.

Build them with her! Modeling can be more fun than playing the game to a lot of people, and orks are very funny and fun to assemble. Just make sure you give her the parts you want used so you don't wind up with weird loadouts because it looks cool

Oh, it's a general discussion forum. Doesn't need a question!

Trukk boyz are great. I also make tankbustas out of them. Get a trukk with boyz and another trukk, order some rokkits or missile launchas off a bits site or from your own kit and bam, 2 x 5 tankbustas w/ trukks. No ork army should leave home without it.

I agree, my fav part of 40k is actually the modeling phase

She has a hard time with the fine detail and gets frustrated. She did a good job with some reaper minis we got for our D&D game.

So far I got the orcs from the 2 player box a few years ago.
1 box of boyz
1 box of nobs
1 box of lootas
Trukk Boyz box.

I am saving for a box of start collecting orks.

I am not planning on being competitive. I kinda of got burnt out planing warmachine competitively a few years ago. Now it just for fun. Going for a good mix of different orks all running around the table. I loved the backgound on the orks and that is why i picked them.

Note to self about putting the truck together.

Add the driver before adding the bed of the truck. The instructions make it very hard to add hims at the end like they show.

Also, sometimes it can be helpful to paint the pieces before you assemble them if there's gonna be some tight hard to reach spaces, like the cab of the trukk with the driver and gunner for example.
