I'm thinking of adding some CSM to my collection and the World Eaters seemed like a fun and good departure from my more shooty-oriented admech. So here's my idea:

++CORE - Chaos Warband(732 points)++

5 CSM - CCW, bolt pistol on all, 1 flamer. Mok, VotLW
1 Aspiring Champion - CCW, bolt pistol, boltgun. MoK, VotLW

4 CSM - CCW, bolt pistol on all, 1 flamer. MoK, VotLW
1 Aspiring Champion - CCW, bolt pistol, boltgun. MoK, VotLW
- dedicated Rhino (stock)

2 Terminators - combi-meltas on both, power weapons. MoK, VotLW.
1 Terminator Chamption - combi-melta, power weapon. MoK, VotLW

2 Chaos Bikers - CCW, boltpistol, meltagun. MoK, VotLW

The idea here is to have my Juggerlord in with the spawn as per usual. The other two lords jump into the larger raptor unit and try to get a turn 1 charge so the Dimensional Key can activate. The Warp Talons and termies and maybe the other unit of raptor wait in deep strike reserve. If the Dimensional Key activates turn 1, that's a lot of non-scattering melta and also some Warp Talons that can charge. The CSM can hold back-line stuff as needed, I'm not sure if I need the flamers but I figure giving them some anti-infantry can't hurt. The Demon Prince with wings and Berserker Glaive seems just too good to pass up. I go first? Great, he's on the ground. I go second? Maybe he's swooping now. The bikes and hellbrute can go fast (and slow) and try to pop open tin cans. I know I'll suck to flyers, but I think this list looks decent and fun. Any thoughts?

Hey I like the list. I run something similar except I bring a unit of melta havocs instead of helbrute. I don't bring raptor talon, i bring sorcerers. I don't think your space marines need to stay back. I would actually leave rhino on a backfield objective and give the helbrute a plasmacannon and let it shoot from the back too. It's a cool fun list combining world Eaters with raptor talon. Good luck!

The Lord which isn't part of the raptor talon wouldn't be able to assault with the raptor talon on the turn they deep strike.

I agree on the melta havoks.

Yeah, I was planning on deploying the two jump lords with the melee raptors as normal and using the talisman to help get the lord with the Dimensional Key in melee so the key can activate. My concern with the melta havocs is that they're slow and kind of squishy. If anything looks at them funny they might implode before melta range. And the hellbrute is cheaper. But if melta havocs are the way to go, I'm in.

Havocs are just basically regular csm with access to more weapons. The nice thing about them in a butcherhorde is that you get the 2d6 move at the start of the game and reroll assault range, and free votlw. There is virtually no bonus to the helbrute except objective secured. Helbrutes generally suck anyways. Your single helbrute is 110 but 5 havocs with 4 melta are 125. Would you rather shoot one melta per turn for 100 or 4 melta for same price basically. If you are worried about havoks being squishy, give them a rhino. Pop out and blast something while blocking line of sight with your rhino. But you may not even need a rhino, since your opponent will be trying to shoot that demon prince first for sure. And if your raptor talon gets first turn charge, your opponent won't even know the havoks are there.
