Since we have no spoilers concerning Guilliman's rules for 40k, and at this point it seems unlikely till the release, what is your prediction or wish
about his rules?

my guess is he'll of course be a amazing beatstick (proably the best beatstick character the IoM has easily) and also have a special rule that enhances the army over all to reflect his tatical skill. basicly I'm thinking he's gonna be Calgar²

I’m going to guess he’s going to have most of the rules of a lot of the UM characters.

I suspect some reserve manipulation, possible some seize bonus/redeploy tricks to represent his strategic skills.

Give a squad a special rule thing like Sicarius. Possibly different rules, or multiple squads.

Extra doctrine thing like Calgar. In the vein of the triumvirate IoM heroes buffing all IoM armies, I would not be surprised to see it be army wide, and not just for units with CT:UM. Maybe multiple. instead of extra doctrines, I could see him just letting everyone benefit from the normal UM ones.

Probably a statline of 6-7s across the board. 2+4++, EW, maybe FNP.

Sword is probably going to be like a burning blade relic, but without the drawback. Gun is probalby a HB with better AP and maybe a special rule (shred, rending?) HF?

400-500 points-ish.

Just some wishlisting/guesses.

Spiritual Liege - all space marines gain his stats including opponent's marines.

Imperium Secondus - he can be chosen as a Warlord on top of another one chosen.

I'm just hoping he can be taken in any IoM force kind of like Celestine, Cawl, or Greyfax. I'm wanting to pick up the set, but not as much for Guilliman as for Cypher. It'd be nice if I didn't have to start an Ultramarines army to be able to try out Guilliman.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

so far all the triiumvirate heros have been avaliable to their entire "Greater faction" no reason to assume Gulliman'll be differant

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

Hes going to have an avenger bolt cannon with an assault 6 profile. He will wield the burning blade. Projects an army wide aura that allows you to chose to pass or fail any reserve roll, or leadership test. Ultra marine characters within 12 inches of him gain +1 attack in CC.

WS7 BS7 S6 T6 W6 I7A6 LD10 SV2+ and FNP with a 4++ Eternal warrior - Relentless - Percsion strikes - Reroll 1 to hit and 1 to wound or pen. 480 points.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

seems pretty good. I'd been pondering running him with a squad of honor guard, if those rules are right it'll be both fluffy and effective

My guess is, he will also be allowed as a lord of war choice for numerous factions, not just ultramarines / codex marines, as part of a CAD.

What will determine his usefulness will be his buffs / abilities he brings to the table other than basic stats and attack profile.

I would hope that he's more of a force multiplier than a unit you just charge willy nilly into combat. (Although, he should be good at that, just, not the primary reason for bringing him).

Special Rules
Papa Smurf - All friendly Ultra Smurfs double their base attack stat.
Papa Smurf's guide to combat - All friendly Codex Astartes compliant Space Marines gain outflank and the ability to re-roll reserves.
Papa Smurf rescource control - add +1 shot to friendly codex compliant Space Marine ranged weapon profiles for every turn they don't fire.

I think that about covers it...

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

on the rumors thread apparently he gets ALL command warlord traits. at once. which gives him an INSANE 12" bonus bubble.

I'm going to guess he's not going to have a lot of psychic resistance. Mainly because I want to shoot spells at his stupid smurf face and not go into combat with him. But also I guess because it doesn't seem like a part of his character.

I honestly don't think he'll be overpowered. still moves 6" a turn, probably a pain to transport in a vehicle (very bulky at the least), and probably not going to have 10 str 10 attacks. Initiative 6 already puts him behind a lot of eldar

This sounds about right to me. Maybe fleet or crusader or something too, since his suit is probably awesome and mobile.
