Well for the swords paint consistency is key. Mixing your paints so that they flow without spattering and also aren't too thin that they spider is key. The rest is just practice I suppose, find an old toy or something to practice on before you apply it to your beautiful GW or other manufacturer model

Good point, I suppose you're right haha. But there are shades of purple
