Me and my friend are old school and prefer 5the edition best and I'm trying to use a chaos marine with demon ally army (not the summoned demons but rather the demons from their own codex) and how do the overlapping icon rules work? If I give an icon to some marines, can bloodletters home in to it? And vice versa if a demon has an icon could terminators home in? Or do they have to use icons from their respective factions? Thanks in advance!

Not having the fifth edition rules handy, could you perhaps write out the relevant rules sections?


(IIRC daemon and marine icons were totally independent)

Seeing as 5ed didn't allow you to ally armies there aren't any 5ed rules for governing interactions between two friendly forces
