So I have been reading all around the internet forums and 4chan how Epimetheus is actually Zahariel.

Can someone explain me how is this possible?

Grandmaster Epimetheus was Alpha level psyker ( I doubt that Zahariel was even close to hat level ) and when Loken was at Caliban recruiting for Malcador Cypher refused to come with him and Qruze. As far as I know it ( didn't listen to the audio book myself ) nobody went together with them from Caliban.

There was also Nemean, Dark Angel who was found by Garo and recruited for Knights-Errant. To me he is the only candidate as so far he is the only Dark Angel to be recruited for Knights-Errant.

The only way I see it possible if Zahariel passed his mantle to someone else and joined Knights-Errant on Terra between Loken and Qruze visiting them ( which was during the height of the Heresy ) and Lion's attack on Caliban ( which happened after the Heresy ). Question is was that Cypher who released them Zahariel or Cypher that Zahariel killed in "Angels of Caliban"?

I am also aware that "Gathering Storm 3" may shed some light on this ( but I doubt they will reveal his true identity like certain rumors suggested ), so can someone shed some more light on me regarding this?

I'm in the middle of Pandorax right now and it never occurred to me he could have been a Dark Angel. Why do people think that?

Oh yes, you're thinking of the Lord of Change actually but I do remember that. I believe that part was a reference to Pandorax, but I don't read the Horus Heresy so I'm not too sure. If the Dark Angels were on Pandorax then it totally might be possible but I'm not convinced he was a Dark Angel. Although that part was really interesting and backs up the theory there is a lot of other possibilities, but then again I'm not very enlightened on the events surrounding Cypher.

Ps: I just noticed this was a quote from the Lexi. Turns out I haven't actually gotten to that part yet, but I do remember him saying something similar to the LoC, and how surprised it was to learn about him. (He killed the same LoC in Pandorax, I'm pretty sure.)
