So my question is, is Typhus any good now after Traitor Legions hit and with the new Artefact that turns Cultists into Zombies?
Can a army with Typhus work in a competitive or semicompetitive environment?
So advantages i see for him are:
- He is a psyker (although he has to generate his powers on the nurgle discipline, but actually the disciplin got better with traitors legion).
- All Cultists are Zombies from the beginning of the battle and you don't have to transform them
- Decent Closecombat Character with some survivablitity
Disadvantages:
- high cost
- Zombies are only toughness 3
So how would you build a list with him nowadays and whats your opinion about him?

For a zombie army, you hav to remember slow, and no real offense. So you need to get anti tank (or ignore), anti air (or ignore) and anti infantry somewhere else. Zombies have no shooting. Everything is about taking damage, not giving it.
Typhus is good, but youll need to find some more warp charges, with playing a psyker you have to go all in. And now that FNP is given from having VOTLW, he isnt as exclusive as he used to be.
Zombie lists were very well recieved start of 6th. Zombies, Heldrakes, A Spawnstar usually. I would try to fit some anti tank, maube suicide termies or obliterators. And a heavy hitter like a Winged mace prince.
If the zombie are in a LATD formation, one bigblob, and then lots of min units. We want them to die, so they can outflank closer. Once people know that zombies can potentially come back on outflank, they stop killing them completely.

Speaking of LATD, make it an Alpha Legion formation. Typhus's ability is army-wide, so all cultists (even those from an AL Formation) become zombies. With this, you get to Infiltrate your zombies, who come back on a 4+ with outflank. Can be really useful for forcing your opponent to shoot you to avoid the turn two charge that will tie most things up

So i can assume that Typhus is also good after TL?
Is a CAD with Zombies better or the Lost and Damned Formation?
As you guys said: In a CAD they get Objective secured, but with the Formation they come back on a 4+ with Outflanking.
Also with Alpha Legion they have Infiltrate and that seems really cool=). I hope this is really a legal way to make a Typhus list^^.

His only niche now outside of a Spawnstar (which he still does well with) and making Alpha Legion Cultists into Zombies.

I would say that the LotD is better than the cad. Coming back and getting onto the board in a more advantageous position outweighs obj secured IMO. I would advice running it MSU if that's your plan though. If going CAD make them big.
It is legal, if you read the Typhus entry, it says its army wide, and not restricted by detachments
