Based on Hasting's comments expect Mortarion, Angron and Russ(didn't specify order) so that would be Leman Russ.

if they want to really make story stuff regarding bringing primarchs back, only ONE loyalist primarch would generate the same kind of setting rocking buzz as Gulliman. only one that would have people who didn't even play his army talking about what it could mean for warhammer 40k's future...

Sanguinis. yeah I know he's dead but... there exists the sanguinor, it's been theorized that he's almost the essence of the purity of Sanguinis.. what if some sort of event, (a weird warp ritual gone wrong or something) remerged the essence with the body of the primarch or something. sure it's a tad nuts, but I really do think that if they want something truely EXCITING, Sanguinis would be that kind of level

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

The Lion will be around soon. Especially with Cypher and Fallen running around in unprecedented numbers.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I think for none Blood Angel players it would be annoying rather than exciting.

The question is will GW make the setting more interesting by having conflict between The Lion + DA and Guilliman + The Fallen or will they immediately decide The Lion forgives Cypher and nothing comes of his treachery, as per usual.

In heart I wish Angron, but timing-wise it seems like Lion or Russ to be next.

Gathering the Informations.

I would really rather us get Corax or Khan back than Russ.

With the launch of a new Great Crusade, I don't expect the Imperium to fight fair. Russ still has a code of honor.

Corax doesn't. The Khan treats his enemies as prey, not as foes.

Leman Russ is often depicted as the savage one, and defied the edicts of the Codex blatantly.

Would make a good opposite to Guilliman.

Does he though? For all we know he could have become a spawn by now. As far as I know he's been lost in the warp since the heresy no?

I think there are going to be 2 choices for both sides

Loyal:
Russ or Lion

Traitor
Fulgrim or Mortarian

I really hope they actually drop both at the same time. Could you imagine how awesome the story would be of russ coming back and waking up the lion and the epic bro down they would have?

To many unpainted models to count.

Mortarian has already been confirmed I believe.

Perhaps a little crazy, but I'm expecting a serious shakeup in the loyalty of the different legions:

The Lion emerges from the rock, corrupted. Takes the Dark Angels down the path of ruin, leaving The Fallen to remain as the Loyalist bunch.
Ahriman's quest to cure the Rubric Curse ultimately resurrects a load of loyal Thousand Sons, who end up joining a cause with The Fallen to do non-Chaos stuff, whilst under a hateful gaze from the Imperium.
Perty toddles out of the Eye with an army of sapient robots, having turned himself into a [Cyberman?] in pursuit of his power lust, but as extreme defiance to the gifts of the Chaos gods. Joins The Fallen and 1k's in that faction jobby, serving as their leader.
(Nowhere near as mad as he used to be, by virtue of becoming a paragon of order that is a computer)

/Loyal (as-in Anti-Chaos, but still Anti-Xenos) Perty, Traitor Lion/

Corax will come back as stoically Loyalist, joins Rowboat without a hitch.
Khan and Russ also come back as Loyalist, but will be with a story-focus of being at loggerheads with Corax and Guilly.

No idea at all what'll happen with Vulkan, but he's got to come back at some point, surely?
As for Sanguinius, I'm pretty sold with what Davion reckons.

It has to be Russ. Something is going to have to destroy the planet of sorcerers that's orbiting Fenris. Hopefully they have to use sorcery to do it and Russ finally understands that the psykers of Russ are no different than those of the Thousand Sons. Especially with so many of his legion running around with rampant mutations. Would be fitting.

You mean someone has to get beaten half to death whilst Magnus holds off the rest of their army with his psychic might.

I would love to see Ferrus Manus come back as some Dreadnaught type of monstrous creature. He would have some fury to lay down on the traitors.

IIRC he said Magnus, gulliman, angron, mortarian, and russ. my guess is added to that list we'll get Fulgrim, and 1 more loyalist. if they brought back a third loyalist the Lion makes the most sense.

Horus's boys have had Ferris' head for 10,000 years. A Nurgle rotted Daemon engine with Ferrus' head inside could be cool.

Honestly, none. One or two is fine, but it's like a slippery slope. Sure chaos could potentially get their big 4, but they've always been there in the bakground as the big sleeping threat to humanity. I'd rather keep seeing new heroes or rather underdogs rise up to deal with them rather than a monster mash of primarchs. Stuff like Lord Solar Macharius, shame he was retconned to die, but creed fits his place for now at least.

Basically rather than the daemon primarch problem be solved by throwing more primarchs at it, why not have the Imperium properly outsmart them. Have the Farseers properly predict and weave events to overcome them. The fledgling Tau thrown up against the true unspeakable horrors of the universe, and waking up from their naivety more and developing further fluffwise. Even something like a huge battle between Gaz and Angron would be cool, just toss Angron down on Armageddon with what's already there and see how it goes.

I'm always prepared to be disappointed when it involves the space wolves. Well I suppose it'd be fun to kick his ass at least.

I'd rather none, and see Guilliman definitively killed by the end of the current little thing GW's running.

Killing Guilliman would be a good way to bring things back to a sustainable status quo for the setting, while also showing that Chaos means business this time by letting them make a pretty significant gain. They could even bring back a few other traitor primarchs for the execution in order to make the state of things more dire.

Better yet, it'd be a hell of a twist that no one saw coming for once.

Doubtful given they just released plastic model. They want people to keep playing and more importantly buying the model.

Eldrad was dead and he still saw plenty of play back in the day. Sure, they brought him back to life, but he used to be dead. And then there was Tycho, who got two posthumous unit profiles. "Historical" rulesets used to be decently common in 40k and WHFB.
