"Chapter 1:
Macragge Falls
Inquisitor Lord Coteaz had a most displeased look on his face as he looked down upon Macragge from the Indomitable Wrath's command deck. He had only just emerged from the warp with accompanied by 120 vessels--what he considered a small taskforce.
"My Lord," acolyte Tersius interrupted the Inquisitor's contemptuous stare-down with the planet.
"What is it, Tersius?"
"An urgent transmission from the surface, my Lord! The ultramarines are begging for reinforcements."
"Begging for reinforcements? I was told they had this planet secured and needed only minor reinforcement to help shore up their defenses and properly cleanse the planet of daemonic detritus. If I had known how incompetent they are, I would have brought more than a mere tenth of my fleet!"
"What should we do my Lord?"
"Hmmm." Inquisitor Coteaz mulled the situation over for a moment. "I have always been suspicious of these Ultramarines. Their Primarch is the one who set a limit of one thousand marines per chapter, yet in every store I visit I find at least a full company worth of them operating there."
"In every store, my Lord?"
"I said on every planet, you imbecile! Do you really think I would break immersion like that and ruin a perfectly good story for the people of dakkadakka?"
"Of course not, my Lord."
"Good, just as I thought."
"What should I tell the men, then?"
Inquisitor Coteaz peered down at the planet once more. The daemonic horde was so vast that it was visible from outer space.
"The way I see it is there are two ways to cleanse this planet of daemonic filth: go down there and burn them with fire, or stay up here and burn them with fire."
He studied the shifting movement of the twisted masses, until he realized something was utterly offensive about it: the horde had formed up in the shape of the most obscene hand gesture the Imperium has ever known. "Well feth option number one! Ain't NOBODY got time to wade through that mess! We begin exterminatus of Macragge immediately!"
