Have a local tournament coming up in May and I am fairly new to the Space Wolves. Hoping to get some feedback on potential failing points of my list.

Wolf Lord - Thunderwolf, 2x Wolf Claws, Armour of Russ
Tech Priest - Stock

10x Bloodclaw - Melta, Rhino w/ Dozer Blade
10x Grey Hunter - Melta, Rhino w/ Dozer Blade

Thunderwolf Cavalry - 4x TH/SS, Pack Leader with 2x Wolf Claws
Thunderwolf Cavalry - 3x TH/SS, Pack Leader with TH/SS

Long Fangs - 4x Plasma Cannon, stock ancient
Long Fangs - 3x HE Bolter, 1x Lascannon, stock ancient
Relic Sicaran - Lascannon sponsons, Dozer Blade

Basic idea is to have the Long Fangs and Sicaran light up whatever the Wolves won't be charging right away and have the two units of wolves barrel in with the bloodclaws and grey hunters rushing across to support where required.

I will add that all of the scenarios in this tournament use DoW deployment. Any tips would be great.

Personally I'd be cutting back enough Blood Claws and Grey Hunters to grab a Wolf Priest or Rune Priest with Divination to stick with the Plasma Longfangs for a bit of safety against "Gets Hot".

Is this a CAD or part of a formation?

I am just running it as a CAD. Had not considered the Priest idea though. Shouldn't be too hard to make enough points for that.

This post is a bit old now but I thought I'd chime in. You're actually running a pretty similar core to a list that I've seen do very well in tournaments. It too had long fangs and a Sicaran. However, your list IMO is missing one key component, Ulrik the Slayer. He is completely bonkers in a list like this. Preferred enemy on a big blob of long fangs and a sicaran is deadly.

No arguing here, Ulrik is a monster.
What would you clip out to fit him though? I was struggling to put the Wolf Priest in there.

I've tried ulrik with 12-15 bloodclaws in a stormwolf, very nice combo. But that flyer must come in turn 2, I've never been a fan of reserves.

His cost is only a little bit more than a standard wolf priest, that's why I'd take him everytime if I had to choose.

Maybe ulrik + 9 blood claws + flamer in a rhino?

I'd give two weapons to the 10 man squad of grey hunters, and as they ride in a rhino I think two plasma guns can be more effective than meltas, which have more synergy with units in drop pods.
