Spoiler:

In the top left picture, if the Lord of Change and FateWeaver for the Omniscient Oracles formation.
In the bottom left, I have magnetized that large book so that I can use them as Magnus and a Tzeentch Daemon Prince.

I am far from finished, but I want the LoC to be painted very similar to Magnus the Red so I have to option to use his rules to represent a more powerful LoC called "Sungam the Magenta" or something like that.

Where is the head from?? I like it on there!! Looks like you skipped the LoC neck?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

The head is from a High Elf....I mean Aelf Phoenix. I put the fire coming out of his mouth.
I skipping the neck for 2 reasons:
1) the head was too big and it looked goofy
2) putting on the shoulders makes him seem taller/bigger so he can make a better 'count as' Magnus

Although I am not sure 'counts as' Magnus is the right term since I would use him as a powerful LoC using Magnus's rules.

I'd look into maybe trying to get some of the armor Magnus wears from Ebay, and using a few pieces.

Maybe, but I'm not sure it's needed. 1st of all it is only a 4+ and since he comes with a 4++, the armour is really just for show/grav anyway.

Secondly, Daemons don't actually need armour to have "armour". In the last codex Daemon Princes could buy "Iron Hide" which was just really tough skin that acted like armour. It was a 3+ and did not require any modeling.

However, I do agree that some armour needs to be on him, which is why I will be painting gold in many areas, particularly on the legs and arms.

Sweet! I really like that conversion plus, making 'your dudes' versions of ICs is one of my favourite things

Check out may pan-Eldar projects http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/702683.page

Also my Rogue Trader-esque spaceport factions http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/709686.page

Oh, and I've come up with a semi-expanded Shadow War idea and need some feedback! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/726439.page

Lastly I contribute to a blog too! http://objectivesecured.blogspot.co.uk/ Check it out! It's not just me

Thanks. The only problem I have fielding it is how to make 20 "my dudes" cultists. I play Daemons, not CSM, so fielding the minimum requirements for Magnus is hard on a thematic level for me. And the Rehati formation with Daemon Princes is a bit too much for my taste.

Any suggestions on non-Daemonic Daemon cultists with mark of Tz?

Age of sigmar arkanite cultists. Easy peasy.
They have avian masks.

I like the look of those guys, but I have 2 big issues with them. A) 32mm bases. T3, 1W models should be on 25mm, so I would need to get 20 of those, which is added cost
B) they only appear to have shield options. I'd like to have 2 melee weapons or something.

I think this is ideal: https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/CSM-Cultists-Assault
It has every model I need. 2x 10 Cultists + a Sorceror (after a bit of conversion, of course)
I would probably just paint their skin bluish like they are mutated worshippers of "Sungam", the powerful Lord of Change

However, I am on stand-by for new purchases until 8th edition. I'll have to proxy using other lesser Daemon models for now.

Sadly they don't have options other than shields; but Tzaangor arms from eBay might help. And 25mm might be easy/cheap to come by on eBay. If you like the look except the shield and base, I'd at least take a look and see what eBay can do to help.

Flagellants could also work?

What about Lizardmen skinks? They look like T3 models with a 6+ armour (scales) and a wimpy S3 weapon (blowpipes). And as a bonus, their jewelry is very VERY similar to that worn by Horrors.
They could have a similar fluff to Tzaangors: a xenos race that fell easily to Tzeentch. It's also the cheapest way suggested so far to get 20+ models.

And another bonus could be using them as additional Blue Horrors when not using them as Cultists.
Darn it! I hate getting a good idea this close to a new edition.
