There's numerous references to powerful, mystical thrones in the lore that seem to work in a similar manner to the Golden one.

I remember reading references to a Silver Throne that a member of the AdMech used during the Horus Heresy in an attempt to learn all possible technologies, and a Glass Throne that a Space Marine chapter esconds their Chapter Masters in that vastly increases their psychic powers as the cost of imprisoning them and gradually turning them to stone. I also have a vague memory of an Ork Throne during the Great Crusade that turned an Ork Boss into a force to be reckoned with.

Are these thrones related to the Golden Throne? Has there been any other mention of thrones, and their possible connections?

According to the latest Ragnar Blackmane novel all Cruiser level or better craft have a command position referred to as the "Throne" does that count?

I don't break the rules but I'll bend them as far as they'll go.

Just found another one! - http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Dark_Glass

Also, here's the others:
Silver Throne (or Akashic Reader) - http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Akashic_Reader
Glass Throne (or Shariax) - http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Shariax

Can't find references to the Ork Throne, but it was during the Ullanor Crusade, I think.

In actuality, in the Grim Darkness of the far future, a marine battlebarge only has one... throne. This makes every very angry/ragey, hence the Angry Marienzz Chapter.

-"Wait a minute.....who is that Frazz is talking to in the gallery? Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG
