Hi guys,

After trying out SW:A and REALLY liking it, I've decided to sign up to my FLGS campaign, set over 4 weeks. As background, about 75% of the campaign players are Necromunda and/or Mordheim veterans, and also terrain will be plentiful and multi leveled, as it should!

So, here is my list:

Appointed Immortal,
Gauss Blaster, - 260pts

Immortal,
Gauss Blaster, Shadowloom - 200pts

Immortal,
Gauss Blaster, Shadowloom - 200pts

Immortal,
Gauss Blaster - 170pts

Immortal,
Gauss Blaster - 170pts

Total - 1000pts

The idea is to abuse the Shadowloom on the two immortals, keep them in front with the others behind them to deny LOS, and when running to cover to cause -2 BS and -3 in hard cover, and allow auto recovery from knock downs as they will all be within 2". Also, at battle won/lost gives +100pts, I'll buy Shadowlooms for the other 3 immortals.

Thoughts?

I would give 1 Immortal Tesla incase you go into Overwatch as it add sustained dice 1 to Overwatch. Maybe swap out an immortal for a Dearhmark? Just so you can deploy behind a specific enemy unit and have a better chance if getting the unit down as you will deploy behind them.

Good suggestions, but you literally are trading quality of quantity when using Tesla. Against certain armies and also objective cover it may make sense, but with the Gauss ability to RE roll to wound dice and -2 saving throw modifier means it's a better all round. This is early days yet, so I may add some for specific missions.
With Deathmarks, their special rule is EXTREMELY situational. Deploying within 8" means you can end up within CQC payout opponents turn which if the Deathmark fails it's an instant casualty. It doesn't help that their gun is simply awful. Compared to even the Necron Warriors Gauss Flayer, which gets to RE roll to wound.

I personally can't see the appeal, unless others can shed some light o them for me?

I've not played yet, got my first games this week.

I'll most likely be using my necrons.

Using a combination of deathmark, phase shifter and mind shackle scarabs could create some chaos. As far as i can see it doesn't say anywhere you need to deploy in line of sight or need line of sight for the scarabs. Turn 2 deploy out of line of sight and mind scarab the enemy heavy and go full auto. Risky with only a -1 to the ld test but could be hilarious
