Hi there!

I'm building my Ba army after some solid years as a nids (loser) and daemon (winner) player.
My meta varies wildly from power players to casual funny guys.
I like an aggressive CC play style mixed to some field domination and fast moving troops
This is my list so far open to any criticism and theoryhammer.

DC dread needs mobilization.
Razorbacks should probably be las/plas
Tac squads need heavy flamers
Dump snipers
Whirlwinds should come in 3's now
Stormravem should have asasault cannon, not lascanonn, and preferably sponsons
Terminator captain should probably be Karlaen for reserve maniuplation

Personally I think I would LBSF and use scouts instead of tacs and everything a 6" move. But that would require many modifications.

Karlaen can become hq/ yes
Razorback / need to run some tests

Because assault cannons are statically superior vs most targets.

Snipers are crap because you can los precision shots. And they don't fit with ba at all.

Las/plas razors get two high str ap2 shots at 24 and three at 12. That's better than fishing for 6's.

True, but let's be honest: If you're fishing for 6's, then you're using Assault Cannons against the wrong targets.

Snipers are pretty sub-par in general (BA aside). Regardless of the Space Marine Sub-Faction, there's better options than Snipers.

Las/plas is better vs vehicles than tl lascannon. You need the shots.

An assault cannon is statistically more effective than a lascannon against almost every target including vehicles. You are more likely to damage a vehicle with an assault cannon than you are a lascannon. It also syncs with both the missiles/multimelta and the hurricanes so you can use PotMS more effectively when choosing which of the others needs to shoot at a different target.

Also beware of the vindicator when using it with an assault army.
I would definitely drop the Whirlwind and Scouts. Are you against FW? If not there are some very optimal options available there.

But the assault cannon is NOT better on the razorback, because las/plas can get you three AP 2 shots at 12" or less.

Oh I agree, I was assuming you were only talking about the Raven.

I am moving to a new gaming club so I don't really know all of the guys, but those who play smurf and Tau are children power player easy to disintegrate and I won't play vs them if not as in a tournament.

now, I just miss the whirlwind basically, so is still an open thing. As attack plan is to have Karlaen + Termi + Dreddy on the Stormraven using the Reserve roll to come in ASAP.
Have some gun power in the start and some mobility to keep control of the objective and such.
Get in CC turn 2 or 3 to mash faces meanwhile run around and get obj with the mechs.

Someone argued the Whirlwind is not very good, what is it a good alternaitve for 75 pts at this point?

I like the whirlwind actually because it is cheap ignore cover tech.

If you decide not to go with the Whirlwind and can find an extra 5 points (maybe 1 LC termi), then a deepstriking dual MM speeder has always done me proud for its 80pts.

Yeah, it depends on what you fear more. You've even got Karlaen for the reserve reroll, too. MM X 2 land speeder is good.

If you play a larger game, a whirlwind squadron is quite nice, though. 3 pinning, shred large blast markers with the option to ignore cover. Not quite wyvern good, but still good.
