HH Sevetar character model. Personally I would use that model to represent NL HQ over any other.

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you.

I did have a look at him, only thing is that in 40k he has been killed lol was looking for someone still alive if possible.

I think he's just suggesting that you use the model to stand in for Tarriq, not that you should just play with Sevetar.

I think I've decided...... I've done a bit research and like the idea of using decimus, talos valcoran's successor to the night lords 10th company, there's good description of his war gear and some artwork to convert a model.

Honestly I'd reccomend just making up a character of your own. the writing project could be fun

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

That's what he's doing, I think. He just wants to build his HQ model to fit what this named fluff character has, wargear wise.

I'm doing something very similar with my Blood Angels.

I'm fielding the 5th Battle Company of Blood Angels, colloquially known as the "Daemonbanes". The Blood Angel's codex, since the 5th edition anyway, has the name of the commander of the 5th being "Captain Sendini, Keeper of the Arsenal". My captain I've fielded since 3rd edition when I got into 40k was always called Captain Aedus. So, since I had a surname, I just combined the two and now field my own captain model as "Captain Aedus Sendini, Keeper of the Arsenal".

I built the model up myself and gave him suitably cool wargear to suit what I liked the look of for a Blood Angels Captain. This is because Captain Sendini has no art or other depictions of what he looks like or carries into battle wargear wise.

I get the feeling RedBeard90 is doing the same thing but taking it a step further and trying to make the wargear match up as well as closely as he can, which I personally think is pretty awesome.

I look forward to seeing this project take shape and seeing the converted model for sure.

Take it easy.

Sevantor would not be cheap but gives you a good very night lord base to start thr conversion.

You could replace his weapon, and helmet etc but make good use of a very nice base marine body.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

Yeah I think I'm gonna have to mix and match a few different models to get the look I want.

That's what I did for my Captain, Redbeard.

And no harm no foul on pilfering a Blood Angels relic sword. Everyone knows that Blood Angels and Salamanders make the best stuff after all!

As for me, my Captain, Being the Keeper of the Arsenal, wears the Crown Angelic (My Captain always wore a Death Mask in the old 3rd edition codex and I was so happy to see a relic Death Mask return to the codex.), and wears artificer armor with a Mark IV winged jump pack. He weilds the Relic Blade known as "The Seraphim's Glaive", an ancient Relic sword of the Chapter that glows with a golden light when wielded by a gene-son of Sanguinius. It is believed to be the template used for the style of the two handed swords that are now carried by the Sanguinary Guard into battle. He also carries a masterwork hand flamer known as the "Ardor's Flame", a sturdy and effective tool of death in the hands of Captain Sendini that has long served him as he leaps across the battlefield on brilliant wings of white and flame.

Here's a couple of images, and please don't think me trying to derail your thread, but maybe it'll offer some inspiration for when you get started on your new Night Lords commander.

Take it easy and do please post up pictures of your project once you get the parts in hand and are getting ready to start!

If you're looking for something cheap (albeit metal) then GW sells a generic Night Lords Hero for around £8

There are no female space marines, so yes. that would be weird in any legion.

You could have a female cultist, though. No problem.

It's said that they replenish their ranks by recruiting from other chaos war bands or by collecting/abducting children (does not specify male or female) from world's they attack, wouldn't I be able to put my own little spin on the lore and have one of these children being a female and rising through the ranks to eventual captain of a company?

Sure you could, it just wouldn't technically be an asartes. It would be more like an evil sister of battle, so technically still human. Of course with whatever "improvements" chaos has gifted her over the years. I'm currently making a female helbrute converted from a drycha hamadreth as a fallen sister repentia/penitent engine

Yep looks like the female body doesn't work very well with the legion gene-seed back to the drawing board however I might make my cultists aspiring champion a female.
