Just assembled my Aquila Strongpoint and got to thinking ...

Moving through doors/hatches costs 1" of movement negated by a successful Initiative test. Fighters within the bunker may not fire out of it unless they are adjacent to embrasures (conceptually). Likewise, fighters may not draw LOS to fighters within bunkers not adjacent to embrasures.

Seems fair?

Are these like "heavy doors"? I think normal doors are part of open terrain - ie, no penalties for moving through.

I would add that blast weapons can target the embrasure openings using the -1 to hit for small target, and if they hit, the blast goes off on the other side of the embrasure. A miss always scatters away from the bunker (bouncing off). So you can toss grenades in to try to clear defenders (or fire frag grenades, etc)

Yeah they are big fortified doors on a defense emplacement with access code panels and so forth. I imagine they are locked such that they are either inaccessible or would require a certain amount of finagling to open. And inch is not insignificant in SWA but I figured it should be negatable by quicker/luckier fighters. Clumsy orks just smashing panels versus Eldar slicing through crude mon'keigh security, that sort of thing.

IIRC template weapons ignore cover. I thought the bunker should provide either full cover or full cover plus some kind of invul save but went with the former because, well, it's simpler.
