I can't be the only one who is happy to see him return. I thought John Rambo... I mean Marbo was gone for good. I hope he makes his return to the new codex.

Gathering the Informations.

No. They don't even have the original one anymore, they had to make a conversion.

I don't ever want to see that crutch come back. Ever.

Sly marbo was not a crutch in 5th ed guard >_>

Also I'd love to see everyone's favorite guardsmen come back. Love the lore and joke surrounding him. I love throw backs. Hopefully roomrider will be next.

I love that he is back, but to be fair that conversion looks better than the original model.

The other fun thing is that we now might actually have a use of those cool new assassin models.
I can't remember ever seeing a Eversor Assassin on the table, and these rules might just change that : )

It will be interesting to see if the give him his demo charge back in the codex, but at this point I doubt it especially since it can't scatter back on to him.

Hey, love to see that Marbo was not forgotten

Of course, I'd also like to see some SW:A rules for THE ork infiltrator: Boss Snikrot

With the updated data slate with his 7th ed rules I'm trying to figure out where he would fit in a force org chart. Is he still an elite choice or would he work more like a priest or a commissar as a "hq" slot?

Edit: upon closer inspection, I now see the elite symbol in the top left corner.

In regular 40k he's nice just for booby trapping terrain before he even hits the table.

For Shadow War he's insane.

He's lost his demo charge but honestly he was a bit of a one trick pony with it. Most people treated him as a one shot demo charge and that was it. Booby trapped terrain and then having him pop up to assasinate something fits his lore better.

Only real issue is he can't charge out of reserve, which heavily hinders his ability to do things on the turn he comes in, but if you're smart and pop him in out of sight in the enemy's back line he can at least cause units to move in order to not die.

Heck, at the absolute least he's giving you an easy linebreaker point.

I'd hope for rules for other "no longer available" characters...looking at you Duke Sliscus, Baron, etc

I'd like to see some Steel Legion rules, because this is taking place on ARMAGEDDON FFS!

Imagine if there was a battle on Macragge & the Ultramarines were completely ignored. The SM community would collectively lose their minds. Its totally ok for IG regiments fighting on their homeworld to be completely ignored or just a backdrop though.

I'm excited about the return of Marbo, but I suspect his return is just a means of placating IG players after they realized they have systemically killed off & discontinued all of our heroes. After the loss of Kell/Creed we have like 4 heroes left.

No, imagine if they were marketing every SM chapter BUT Ultramarine as taking part in a publicized event taking place on Macragge. That was taking place in stores the world over, but Smurf lists were BANNED.
