He was part of I started to build a Guard army at the very beginning of 6th when I got into Warhammer, dropped it shortly after... but now I guess it is time to revisit!

Seeing it's not part of current codex and has no current model on sale I doubt he'll get 8th ed rules though...

I'm not convinced he's even worth 25 points with those rules. Why even bother if you can't even make him playable?

Why can't he assault out of reserves? It seems like half of his abilities make him limited in terms of what he can do in any given turn.

Did you really reply with the exact same info in the original post? That's the whole reason this thread even exists!

I'm missing his demo charge, that was the main reason for him to pop up in front of enemies to begin with. He'd toss a demo charge and earn back his points in one go before dying.

Is that universal? I don't see anything saying he can't assault out of reserves; I guess you're saying the BRB says nothing can?

maybe that's changing...

Okay but that's a 7th edition datasheet so it's not changing. I suppose everything could change in 8th, however, that's not what his stats are for.

Page 136 of the softcover rulebook states under Moving On From Reserves "A unit cannot charge, or use any abilities or special rules that must be used at the start of the turn, in the turn it arrives from Reserve."

Technically, per their own statement regarding which models will be getting rules, they have to give Marbo rules since, because they rereleased his model recently, he has a current model.

Now here's a man who knows how to reply in a sly marbo thread. I tip my proverbial hat.

He's different now, and honestly the fact that he booby traps 3 terrain pieces before he even gets on the table is pretty nice. He changed from a suicide bomber though, now you'll have to pop him out somewhere he can hide for a turn, then charge into a backline unit next turn.

At 25pts I think he's worth it, he'll force your opponent to play a bit wonky to try and shut him down or ignore him, where he'll then kill say even a single heavy weapon team and immediately make his points back.

Uuhhh....Did you read what I said? I said he does not have official model on sale currently. That's a fact. Even link you provided said so much. I then said it's doubtful he gets 8th ed rules. Doubtful they are going to give one for every OOP model they have. Then you provided...what? Not 8th ed rules for sure! Those are 7th ed rules.

I said doubtful they give _8th_ ed rules. Having 7th ed rules isn't all that relevant to that statement. I know they gave 7th ed rules long time ago. I'm talking about EIGHT edition rules.

Krieg! What a hole...

Are we sure the model pictured is a conversion this time? I still have flashbacks of a certain Marine.

Well, they made a sheet for SWA for him.
I have my converted model unpainted when he went AWOL.
It is like GW is apologizing for all those irritating changes they made that killed many projects of mine.

Gotta be internal politics. 'Bob' is a big IG fan and has been pestering to get his house rules for Marbo out there and since we've only got a month of the old 3rd-7th rules left someone finally said, yeah, sure Bob, knock yourself out.

Look for updated Squat and Vampire Intelligence rules in the next week or two.

I imagine the thought process went something like:
Wow everyone loves the solitaire rules in shadow war and want to see similar rule for assassins.
Lets make some special missions for them.
How about rules for an Imperial guard operative as well, hey we can use that Sly character.
Might as well make some 40k rules while we're at it.

They released rules for SWA(which isn't going to get invalidated by 8th ed) and somebody had 15 minutes free time to write up 7th ed rules?
