Hey all just quick question today. I'm looking for a gold spray paint for miniatures a Google search has only shown me Montana gold spray and the reviews were not good for it. Does anyone know of a decent spray I can get my hands on in the UK?
Thanks in advance!!

Im sure model stories might have Tamaya whom make gold spray paint
you could try big box store spray paints like rustolium or krylon but its probably a gamble.

Never had much luck with rattlecan metallics. Always seem to clog detail. Found that spraying a similar color from the can and a quick layer of metallic from hairy brush or airbrush to give superior results.
A quick rundown on your wants could help get better answes. You looking to basecoat a mostly gold model?

I picked up the Talons of the Emperor box set in preparation for 40k 8th ed and since the models are all armoured in gold you could gold spray, pick out the weapons and cloth yes then either wash or dip them for a very quick army.
Thanks peeps, I'll look into the Tamiya and GW spray!!

My friend just painted an enormous Thousands Sons army with GW Retributor Armour aerosol can, then just painted in the Blue parts by brush. They look amazing, and he said it was soo much easy then trying to paint all of the gold trim.

That's the technique used in GW's Thousand Sons tutorial as well:

https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rust-Oleum-American-Accents-Ultra-Cover-2x-Metallic-Gold/37326854 i use this brand for basing all my models, this gold is really shinny and works well with clear coat/ghost tints
