Hi Everyone, i am trying to start up a little local painting commission service, im currently based on my Mrs dressing table (which she isnt happy about) so want to try and get a permanent work space set up in the garage, ive set up a Gofundme page so if anyone fancies helping me avoid the wrath of the wife id greatly appreciate it!

Cheers

Chris

Why not paint up some minis and sell them painted on eBay for a profit? Simple stuff like generic Space Marines, or things you know will sell.

Do you already have all of the painting materials you'll need to do commission painting?

Yeah, such a small £££ amount sounds like a month's worth of hard work and tightening the belt loops. Tell the missus there's no make-up or steak for a month and you should be able to pay for it yourself.

i need to try and get the money together for a new airbrush/compressor, want to get a new decent set of regular brushes mine have defiantly seen better days) and the money to build a decent desk/workspace in the garage where i can leave projects rather than having to unpack and repack all my gear. also negating the death threats that come with "no paint on my dressing table" and "no power tools on the dressing table" haha

Thanks for the reply ive tried selling a few models on ebay but people only seem to be after the cheep bargain stuff, only ever sold 1 model, done a fair bit of work for mates but thats generally been just for trades, painted up a load of Wordbearer models for a mate in return for an unbuilt fellblade

I feel like if you are asking for money to buy very important items (e.g. airbrush and brushes) and get your business up and running, then you aren't ready to be running a business.
