Can you choose to spilt your attacks with both weapons? So attack once with the Axe and then once with the sword to get an extra attack?

Chainsword rules say you get an extra attack using that weapon. So like base attacks +1 at chains word stats.

A Protoss colony world

I'm glad I built mine with a couple of plasma pistols. Never got a chance to play them in 7th (because I only got them recently and they sucked in 7th anyway), but it looks like in 8th they will be a go-to unit. Too bad the kit only comes with 6 of each melee weapon. So I've got 5 with bolt pistol and chainsword, 5 with bolt pistol and chainaxe, and the other two have plasma pistols with one each of chainaxe and chainsword. Not sure if I'll even try to run them as one unit, but maybe if I pick up a few more...

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Well I think I will be breaking off those Bolt Pistol arms to add some axes. SO many skulls!

More Dakka!

Yeah, the plasma pistol is absolutely worth it, now. Not only is it cheaper, and it doesn't kill you to shoot it, but it gives you an extra high strength low AP attack in CC.

Soooooo much better then they use to be.

How to use them?
Mount them into Landraiders to deliver them safely, or into other deathtraps (Rhinos)?

Use a screening unit like Chaos Spawn or Flesh Hounds as your first wave, walk up Berzerkers as your second wave supported by Lords and Kharn. The potential for a Rhino to murderize my HQs has turned me off of them, I would rather the HQ's be safe and snug than in a death trap.
