I am currently looking into methods to weight down bases. A question I have for more veteran hobbiests than myself, does glueing coins to the bottom of bases count as destruction of government property?

Some of my models have coins glued to the base and so far (touch wood) the government has not broken my kneecaps... yet.

Mine have and its no crime.

Plus you use 1/2 cent coins.
There like just steel, there's no precious metals in coinage anymore.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

it depends on the countries laws, and i don't know for the US, but in the EU destruction of money is not allowed, like drilling holes and such, dismantling the rings or flattening of the money.
Since you want to glue it to something the money is still intact and can be used after dissolving the glue.

In europe noone actually cares what you do with coins and i can't imagine anyone beeing prosecuted for destroying coins. Actually i have some stuff maid from cut coins.

But i don't know for the us, since you seem to have some strange laws for trivial things. That is not meant judgemental, but just from an european point of view;-)

Coins are good, but I think it is destruction of government blank... I have both coins and Washers. I've also used sand and super glue. Some people swear by using lead bird shot.

Pennies are the cheapes, Washers are a close second. Hot glue or superglue works, but when dropped the superglue can break
