I just realized that moral removes models not wounds, this appears to make vehicle squadrons quite risky.
Is there anything that I might have missed ?

Is there vehicle squadron that is going to be big problem? Russ squadron needs to be maxed out and lose 2 tanks to have 1/6 chance of losing last tank. 2 tank per squadron and it's bullet proof.
edit: Well killa kans would get wiped out but seems I had missed the squadron thingie anyway.

All Broods/Squadrons get converted to independant units after deployment, so there is no morale for vehicles/monsters.

Eldar shenanigans might drop your ld to a low value making it so that if you lose 1 tank you might just roll unlucky and lose the rest of the russes due to moral. Without eldar trickery its mainly orks. Killa kans etc are ld 6 Automatically Appended Next Post: CovenantGuardian wrote:All Broods/Squadrons get converted to independant units after deployment, so there is no morale for vehicles/monsters.
They do : ) ? Missed that, where can I find that rule ?

Do they? Some like deff dreads have special bespoke rule but then again killa kans don't...And indeed has "while a unit of killa kans contains 3 or more models...".
So nope. Some can get wiped out like the LD6 1-6 killa kans.
So it seems it's squadron by squadron. Poor orks!

More you know, i guess they are small enough to be considered closer to a thunder wolf cavalry than tanks/monsters.

If you have a decent leadership, I think it’s a very low risk.
I’ve not read the chaos/xenos stuff in depth, did any -Ld stuff make it to 8th? Because while operating normally there is not going to be an issue, start tacking some debuffs on and things could get mean.
Of course, with the FOCs being as free and flexible as they are, just running as singletons should be an option most of the time.

Scout and Armored Sentinels are similar to killer kans in that they don't split up after deployment into independent vehicles.

Phantasm grenade launcher also decreases Ld by 1, for every unit that was hit by it.
But Ld modifiers are more scarce than they used to, and since psychic shriek is gone, I don't really see people building lists around Ld modifiers at the moment.

It does appear to be a risk, albeit a small one. Maybe the kind of thing worth bringing some extra morale mitigation for, or maybe burning a CP or two to avoid.
Certain lists may have some real trouble, but they might be better off trying to run a pile of singletons instead.

Its not easy to mitigate moral for killa kans. They don't have the mob rule and aren't infantry.

Hopefully this can be ameliorated by sticking a warboss in the middle of that kan unit...
