Spoiler:

We’re delighted to announce today that Warscroll Builder has a new home, right here on Warhammer-Community.com

This online tool for Warhammer Age of Sigmar generals makes amassing your army for a matched play game, easy. If you’ve not used it before, give it a go, and see just how easy it is.

The Origins of Warscroll Builder

The web designer and owner of Warscroll Builder, Tony Pacheco, is an avid painter and gamer himself, and a huge Warhammer enthusiast. Tony originally created Warscroll Builder to help his local gaming community, but it proved so useful that it is now used by Warhammer Age of Sigmar players the world over.
Spoiler:

Seeing what a great tool this, we felt that the right thing to do would be to support Tony and help bring Warscroll Builder to even more hobbyists. We’re delighted to now host this handy tool on our Warhammer Community site, still free, still regularly updated and 100% official.

Here’s what Tony had to say:

“The process of getting Warscroll Builder over to the Warhammer Community site has been very exciting. From the first chats with Andy, to working with the various web teams involved, it’s been an awesome experience. I mean, I’ve been a GW super fan for the last 20+ years and now I’m working together with them on my side project, how cool is that!? It’s been a great experience working with the teams; everyone has been super helpful and I’m very excited to finally get Warscroll Builder live on its new home. The goal has always been to make Warscroll Builder fit the style of the Community site, while making sure it remains an easy-to-use resource for building army lists for Warhammer Age of Sigmar, and I think we’ve done that.”

Spoiler:

And more than that, we’re going to continue to work with Tony to develop the functionality of Warscroll Builder and keep making it a great tool for all you gamers out there.

Old GW would probably just send a "Cease & Desist" letter I'm loving how they actually embrace community projects. I hope it happens the same with Bottle's Hinterlands

How intuitive is it compared to Battlescribe? I'm not near a computer at the moment so I can't discover for myself.

My opinion is that it's fairly better than battlescribe. Far faster and less clunkier too.

I really like the Warscroll site.

I wish it contained a bit more information/tools like the Overlords Articles, and other selections from books.

However that might traed a little too close to a free Tomes scenario for GW.

Functionally, much better than Battlescribe, and easier to set up too. I'm pretty sure they have all the units in there too, which is good. Only problem is they don't have a direct print function, but you can save then print. Very minor issue, quite pleased with it (especially since it's free!).

It really bugs me that they didn't fix the misspelled "Ironweld Arsonal" when they brought it over.

Another great move from GW embracing the AoS community!

Tony is a great guy who I've got to know a little through Twitter. I've been using Warscroll Builder since before the GHB and still use it now even though I have an Azyr subscription (simply because I need to print lists for tournaments).

Fantastic news all round, but the community version really needs the print button brought over :-p

Bye bye Dakkadakka, happy hobbying! I really enjoyed my time on here. Opinions were always my own :-)

That was on scrollbuilder. It's just the one page of changed points (fyreslayers and TK mostly).

I think that this is literally the same back end server information as scrollbuilder (hence typos remaining, etc..).

Yeah, it is. Was a bit dissapointed that they literally just moved the code to the GW server.

I most certainly did, and I got a bit more excited than I maybe should have

Just email him, I've done so and got stuff fixed before.
